from the 101 take Malibu Cyn (also called Las Virgenes Cyn) south. About a mile past Malibu Creek State Park entrance is Piuma (left). The dirt road is somewhere in the residential area at Piuma and Cold Cyn. I think it's also a place where local HS students go to get it on.

btw, that road rally I'm trying to put on May 31st will include the paved part of Piuma. Beautiful view from the top (you can see the ocean and the valley from this one turnout. That's where we watched the meteor shower... drunk)

Dirt Mullholland is easier to find, just be careful not to run over hikers and mountainbikers. From the 101 take Topanga south to Mullholland (left) to where it becomes a dirt road.

are we allowed to drive up this...legally? or is it something i should be carefull about

 

I've never driven up there. Kareem, Charles, and Charles' gf didn't seem to have other than having to stop at the gate. But I don't know for sure. I was thinking about driving up to the Magic Mountain stage from Rim of the World and trying to figure out where it went.

 

where ever you damm well please. though speeding is done at your own risk. thats the whole adrenaline rush of it all.
