I just moved to Tucson yesterday from Ann Arbor, MI where I finished up my Master's degree in Electrical/Optical Engineering. I am starting my first job on Monday at Raytheon Missile Systems.

I drive a Stage 2 Turbocharged 2003 Lancer OZ Rally and it should be arriving off the car carrier by the end of the month

I am already loving Tucson and can't wait to meet you all and see the tuner scene here. I came from a great EVO/Lancer club in Michigan (www.mievo.net) and am told that it's great here as well.

I'm not sure where I'll be living yet as my wife and I will start looking for a house. I'll be in some temporary corporate housing in Northwest Tucson (N Silverbell Rd) till July when we'll hopefully be moving into a new home.

Again, I'm excited to be here and to finally have a Sonic again!

Welcome! We have a fun club here as well. You will probably see my wife down there as she works in the same industrial park as raytheon. She drives the red ix mr.. we have meets on wednesdays and AZR is our club.

Woo hoo - I just had the Lancer delivered And of course there was some damage done to the underside of the front bumper, so I'm gonna have the car carrier fix it But now I can officially meet up with the group here and share my Lancer

 

Damn man, I work at Raytheon too... however I'm working in the Fullerton, CA site (Thales-Raytheon Systems).

How is it out there (the company)? Big? What organization are you with? I was thinking of moving out to AZ. Let me know.

 

Wow, small world! I'm not sure how big it really is since I actually don't start till tomorrow However, I think there are about 18,000 employees here between all 4 Raytheon sites. I work in the EO Center - at least for now. So far I love Tucson. Much better than cold Michigan with their salty roads and snow in April!

I'm from Ohio, so I can relate to your Michigan background. You will grow to love Tucson for sure. In my opinion, it takes a full season to see all the beauty of the desert and learn to really appreciate it. Enjoy the expierence.

Tuner cars meet up on Wednesday nights about 8:30pm at the Sonic on Broadway and Plummer.
