Drag strip video competition with a free dyno
Drag strip video competition with a free dyno
I'm headed out to SIR tonight with 2 of our shop EVOs. One will be for show, the other will be for some shake down passes. I'm just trying to see if anyone else is going to be in the area. I'll be in a Silver EVO with IA Performance bannered on the windows. Tech starts at 6 and closes at 8pm. I figure I won't start running till about 8:30.

We also have a contest.

Good luck, and I will need all submissions by Sunday the 17th

Steve and crew,
I was loyal as always to the Evo community and I showed up. That 600whp Evo that you guys put together is simply sick.
Speaking of 600whp and what not, Ryan's Evos is another sweet front cover Evo magazine, what a nice car you have Ryan!! Again, great job on making another monster Evo guys...
Steve, I documented the stuff in photography, I am way better in photography than in video. The Evo was shoting flames and the first pass that you did a partial throtle was promising.
Anyway Steve, your hard work is not going unnoticed, your shop is becoming more and more popular in the Subaru and Evo community. Keep the good work.
PJ, your front bumper is the best front bumper I have ever seen so far, funcional, clean, nice and unique, you are probably the first guy to have that Jun bumper color painted in a Evo.

^^Hi Rob,
The first pass was just a test pass and directed by the owner to not exceed certain ET. The car launched hard and Steve let off the gas just a little over half way down the track with a 12.2@94mph, clear indication that this car is a high 10 sec car.
I repeat, the very first pass was just to collect data and what not but keep in mind the owner told Socorro(Evo9girl) that he did not want his car to be driven to the max on the first pass.
On the second pass, the car developed a trasnmission issue but I do not want to elaborate more on that since I haven't worked on the car. I rather have Steve giving an update. I can though say that it is basicly ruled out a installation or crafstmanship error, it is more likely the power issues.
The car is putting a lot of power thus risking the integrity of its mechanical components but the owner of the car is very aware of these typoes of risks and he is willing to assume it.
Rob, last but not least, there was a Evo 9 RS red with at least a Turbo back that ran a 13.5@102mph. PJ brought his car but is not fully done yet.

Those are good numbers ill be back in a few motnhs. Ill be out and about looking for some good races hopefully every ones car will be in good running conditions. Im droping some money intno drive train and weight reduction gonna keep the IX turbo though hoping for some mid to low 11sec times. Got close at nopi to my 11 sec goal(ran12.0)(3337lbs) but the car wouldnt build over 25psi. I got that handle getting a monster highboost c16 tune and and the car is close to 3000lbs nowdamn gotta love that mivec

What kind of drivetrain mods? you already have an aftermarket clutch. Send me a PM at work, I would like to see your car.

putting the finishes on the new fuel system. All i need is a tune now. I am going to go to mitch to get a basic tune nothing crazy until AMS comes out. Hope to run the car within the next month. I have been driving the car on an old tune keeping off it and it has been reliable everyday for the past month and a half. Things are going way better. On another note, I got new wheels (SSR GT7's) and powdercoated them gold and did some gold accents came out pretty decent. I have a teaser pic of it:

Hows your new car carlos?
