Las Vegas Tuners?

Hey everyone,
Search came up with nothing. I'm getting stationed in Korea next month for a year. Afterwards, I'm getting stationed at Nellis AFB.

Right now my car is tuned on 94octane that I was able to easily get in Washington. However, I think Vegas only has 91octane?

Well anyway, just trying to find out who are some good tuners to choose from out there? I'm gonna have some more parts to install as well, so any recomendations on good shops to go to would be appreciated.

Thanks guys
Carlos

For aftermarket parts install call Corey, Steve or Harvey. For aftermarket parts purchase try Gene's Auto Performance or Acme2 Motorpsorts. Neither list is in particular order, btw. They are all pretty equal in quality.

another good tuner is mike at factor-x. he is an authorized hks pro dealer, certified motec and pectel tuner. pretty much can tune any ems system out there.

i'm steve and no i don't own a shop....wish i did though! a lot of us do our own work with the help of friends. imo the shops around here tend to charge to much for even the simple things. just wait until you get here and you'll know what i mean....

Sorry bout that! Steve already replied, Harvey works at Acme2 and Corey is another member of the crew that does a lot of work on our cars, but like Steve, he doesn't have his own shop either.

All 3 are here on the board, but I'm having a brain fart right now and can't remember their user names.

I just now realized you said you were getting 94 octane there in Washington - stationed at McChord are you? I was working over on Ft. Lewis from 1999-2003, living up near Ruston Way.

Thanks guys, I agree it's a lot cooler to install parts with a knowledgable friend and cheaper lol.

I'm in cali right now, I took leave en route before I head to osan where I'll be working with A-10's(aircrew life support).

I can do my own intercooler install which I plan to get, but the other parts I'm gonna buy I'm not comfortable doing myself(cams, meth, and clutch).

So how is the heat and 91octane affecting people's times at the track? I'm curious what my times would be with lower oct and boost. Right now my fastest was 12.3 at113mph. I just really started going to the track in washington, but now it sucks I had to leave cause my driving was just starting to get better.

It's been said to expect about a second or more added to your time here simply because the air is thinner, given that we're around 2000ft above sea level and about 20 to 30 degrees warmer. If you are running a 12.3 at SIR, then unfortunately you can expect 13's here.
