There's a meet every Friday night at Starbucks on Crenshaw/ Lomita (starts from 9pm). We need more lancers people! There're currently 1-2 OZs and 2 EVOs compare to more than 10 WRXs and STi. There're some interesting cars like a Skyline R34 GT-R, Viper, Euro Ford Cosworth, etc. Cops are rare sight as well.

 

I used to live less than a mile from the Crenshaw/Lomita intersection. In early 2000, I sold my house in Torrance to the chief of the Torrance PD. Which is kind of a waste, because I moved to Virginia, and can't ever get any "use" out of knowing the chief of police.

The Torrance cops I met were cool, even the one I faced up against in court -- I basically impugned the officer's job abilities when I testified, claiming he didn't even know what day it was because he wrote the wrong day of week on the citation (among other things). I lost anyway. I figured the officer would be mighty pissed, but he actually told me as we were walking out of the courthouse that I did a good job in court and that I came prepared, unlike a lot of defendants.

Anyway, I hope the Torrance PD doesn't hassle you guys. Have fun.

Hey chris/mark is this the same area as the first socalevo meet...near an in-n-out? If it is EVERY friday night, I'll deffinately be driving down, maybe next week.
