I have an 03 evo, and I think the synchros are bad. I have trouble getting it to any gear. 1st- reverse. Is there a dealership around that may fix it under warranty? Ive had the car for 6 months never abused it, got it with 52k miles, has about 60k now.

I am thinking it may have been abused by its previous owner. I took it to a local mitsu dealer, and they told me that it was a clutch problem, and it is not covered under warranty. Its a 3rd party warranty btw. Well I ended up taking it out of there, and took it to a tuner shop by my house, and they told me that it may be the synchros. ARRGGHHH!!!!

Now I am lost. Should I buy a new tranny, or do I keep paying to get towed to different dealers?

Also If anyone in the Socal that is willing to help a fellow evo owner out by stopping by and giving me their input on what it might be, let me know. I'll appreciate any help I can get.

If you can't easily put it into first, with the motor running and the car stopped and the clutch in, then it is likely the clutch not disengaging properly. Check the the clutch slave cylinder. It will be tough to shift if the clutch is not disengaging properly, and will eventually damage the tranmission, likely very quickly.
