Cops in Las Vegas Area?

I was just wondering how the cops are in the Las Vegas and surrounding areas these days. I grew up in Boulder City, NV and now reside in Socal. I'm getting sick and tired of the cops around here (among other things), and am investigating other areas to live. I always loved Las Vegas/Boulder City/Summerlin, and would love to move back someday. But I was just wondering how the cops treat you guys with modded cars, etc in that area.

Thanks

The cops here in Vegas aren't too bad. They usually leave us alone unless you're being stupid. Although if you read the last few pages of our Vegas thread, it sounds like they're dicks here. But for the most part, they're not. One of Las Vegas' finest is a fellow evo owner as well.

Vegas is chill its simple do not drive like an a hole and you wont get in trouble. I had a wide body tiburon drove like an *** got 10 tickets in 3 years. Got rid of it and have been driving good with my mustang and now lancer with smoked tails and limo and have not been pulled over once.

When you say drive like an a$$, do you mean weaving, etc? Or just going like 10 above on an open road?

Also, what are the tint laws in Vegas?

tint laws in vegas are like tint laws everywhere else. They arent really strictly enforced unless your acting like a chode to the cop. Cops know its super hot here. and as for driving like an a$$ well i dont know, what do u think driving like an *** is...i guess u urself can only determine that one. its just like with any other profession theres a$$holes everywhere and in every place of business.

Well it depends... are you brown? Just like the other guys said, Vegas cops can be real jerks, especially the ones that own Evos...

OK seriously, it's pretty chill out here. Window tint and front license plates are the least of their worries. If you aren't going say 80 in a 45 or trying to be DK on every corner you come to, you should be okay.

20PsiMR is DK, btw. LOL

Regarding the tint, the couple times i've been pulled over or 'visited' by the police at my car, I just roll all the windows down out of respect.
My tint is 5% all around and I don't want to make them think that there is something going on that they can't see..especially at night.

I do the same I just roll them all down so they can see and it makes it easy to see in the back window so it does not look so dark

I assume you have never been a cop in socal then. If you have tint on your windows here, prepare to do the death march...

And, yes, I assume that front plates are the least of their worries

Thanks for the replies everyone. I appreciate it
I'll be making a few trips out to Vegas sometime to visit some old peeps. I'll be sure to bring the evo knowing all of this info.
