I wouldn't worry about it. They can't void your warranty for taking your car to the track. I straight up asked my dealership about it and they said its fine. (San Rafael Mitsubishi)

Do you know a decent (no dirt parking lot or too many roaches), cheap hotel out there? Everyone tells me to stay at the Pheasant, but it is all booked up.

What group are you running in?

 

I stayed at the pheasant, I got up there at 1 am. I signed up for group 1 but ended up driving by myself following my instructor and then he followed me. We had to go before everyone cause we were getting held up. Were you the dude with the long sleeved collar shirt in group 2?

 

Yeah probably, the big pale dude in the white IX MR. Saturday was my first real track day. I ran group 2 because I signed up too late to get into 1, but I have an instructor friend how was riding along with me. By the end of Sunday I was going solo, but I am going to sign up for group 1 next time just to be safe.

Since you left early, I am assuming you did not go Sunday. Sunday was awesome. No major problems like what happened early on Saturday.

And yeah, I know I was holding up traffic sometimes but I tried to let people pass when I could.

Which one were you?

 

I was #69, the grey Evo. My instructor was so awesome, he took me out in his car in group 4 and really showed me how to drive the track, the we did lead follows in group 1 and 2. He said we were the fastest on the track so he got us out in front of everyone each time so we weren't getting held up.

How were your tires/brake pads by the end of the weekend?

 

I was running RE050 PP's so they did not show too much wear. They do not have the best grip though. I am getting something better when these wear out.

The brakes held up pretty well, but I was not being very aggressive with the braking. I took a peak at them, and it looks like they have at least one more track day left in them.

I am probably going back for the next one in June, but I need to figure out why I am down 4 psi of boost now Hopefully it is just a leak.
