Last time I checked that was me that ran the 13.8 @ Fontana. Also the last I heard the best @ Carlsbad last weekend was mid 14's. Fontana you can run at night. It isn't 90 degress at night. I agree with everyone. Go to Fontana instead. Last time I went I got there at 6:45. I went through tech and then went to dinner. I got 6 runs in by 9:45. Most had ran 10 or more.

depends on the driver too there. EVO is a faster car than the dodge thing, but if the driver sucks then the time sucks. Just look at the numbers posted by C&D and motortrend. Coming into an evo forum and talking **** about your neon isn't gonna get you anywhere. your car is fast an all, but ehhhh....
I completely agree. 1/4 mile EVO's & STI's have an advantage. The guy that was running mid 14's in his EVO sucked at the launch. His best 60 ft for the night was 2.2. It was his first time out and had never launched an AWD. He even let another SRT driver take a swing and he ran 16 something. I wish they would have let me ruin the clutch. I wish I could come out this weekend. I will be putting the tranny back in the Galant. Good luck to everyone!

i have a vid of a sti stomping an srt-4 in a drag race at a track. don't get me wrong i like the srt-4 and it is a great buy. but even if the power was similar to the evo or sti.....its still FWD....you can't launch like you can in an AWD. that alone makes a huge difference. unless the srt-4 is heavily modded racing a stock evo or sti....given a good driver the srt doesn't have a chance

I will be running at FOntana Sat. I just installed my downpipe, exhaust, and MBC--the car feels a lot faster. The best I could do bone stock at Carlsbad was 14.3 (3 times in a row) the track is terrible--still hot, the people running it are a bunch of trailer park trash. There was another EVO there and he ran the same times.

At Fontana--you can run at night when it is cooler. Last time I went--I had a pinched hose coming from my stock boost solenoid--running only 10 psi--I hit mid 14's. Hopefully I can get into the 13's with my mods. See all you SCLC there!

Jason get that Galant running again and bust an 11. You were so close the last time i saw you run it. Also i will let you see what you can get out of the EVO(Lil yellow school bus) when i decide to run it. Also kid at Fontana running 14s is on this site Nappyk look up drag racing. If he dumps at 6000rpms or similar method he would of done alot better. As for my dilema shifting in 2nd & 4th are really slow and missing a shift is more common then not when i shift above 6500 rpms. Going to clutchmasters to see about an adjustment.PS Get that sleeper vette eater running again cause my dumbestic buddy will fall for a sucker bet if you line up against a v-8 that looks fast. We'll split the cash and have dinner on him.

Sounds good to me!!! I am very interested in taking $$$. You wont believe who got an EVO! Chris who had the yellow WRX. He traded it in last week. His Galant should be up & running by next weekend(30th). I plan on coming out then. I will probably dyno the Galant as a FWD this weekend.

I think i've seen that one. It was at the Q and it is 1/8th mile. Dont get me wrong! I have an AWD. When properly driven will OWN off the line. In street driving it is a rare occasion you will encounter a stop light race. Most encounters are rolling for me.

p.s. a few SRT's have ran 1.70 60 fts on slicks

SRT-4 are a fast *** car for 20gs. I have nothing but respect for a 13 sec 4 banger for 20gs. Finally a 4 banger that is fast and affordable. Acura/Honda needs to recognize the new king of this class. As for the poster talking about Evo drivers being scared i have a word of advice. Remember you might be able to beat some of the Evos some of the time but you can't beat Al (all) of the Evos Al(all) of the time. Pun intended with Al as in big Als 11 sec Evo. Always something faster on the streets or the track. How fast your car is compared to other cars is relative to what your comparing it to. Your car might be fast compared to my old fat *** in my stock Evo but compared to Big Als ride or many other low 12sec Evos your car is probably slow.
