Try the Mulholland Drive up on Highland past Hollywood Bowl. It’ll take you a while, but it’s a great drive.

Go easy on your EVO... Remember, you have 600 miles before you can make it scream. Break it in gently, and it will reward you later.
Another great ride is Las Flores Cannyon, in Malibu. Great turns, deserted and dangerous. Great scenery too.

Be careful in that Malibu run during sunset. It can seriously blind you. Had couple of close ones.

2000 miles!!??
Ouch, I started to rev a bit more aggressively at 550 miles. I havent driven it super hard, like a fast cannyon run, but have already stretched to 7000RPM a couple times, but not for too long.

The user manual says 500-600 miles for the engine to go above 5000 RPM, 200 miles for the brakes to be used hard and 100 miles for the tires. Never saw this 2000 miles break-in period before...
The G35 coupe's 1200 miles, though.

Topanga isnt bad but you best get a detector for that one. Also dont expect to go fast for to long without running into a grip of slow people. I always see evos in that canyon.

Ortega Highway from San Juan Capistrano to Lake Elsinore. As I remember, it is pretty well patrolled, but truly a beautiful drive. The drop-offs are treacherous and unforgiving though, so use good judgement and don't end up like a new kid killing himself on his new sportbike the first day he gets it. The nice thing about the EVO is that you can rail the corners at 7-8/10 and still have fun feeling like you are in a slot car, or driving a gokart without risking life and limb.

Congrats on the new ride!

Two words, Tuna Canyon. It's downhill, one direction and hardy ever has any traffic. It's a true test of ***** and skill!
