Vegas Lancers, look at this...
Is anyone going to the track friday? I really want to go and check out the cars since I haven't been in a long time. =/ Always faster cars at the strip than at the illegals, I just hate going to places like that alone... feels weird.
That and I haven't done much on weekend nights other than

hmmm... alright don't laugh at me
but where's Acme2? all I need is the cross roads. 5:30 is pretty early, I'm off at 5 so I'd probably be there round 6.
Do you have any turbo lancers? I am so curious to see how fast lancers can get.
I figure with proper tuning I could probably get the 4b12 pushing 300hp at the crank with t/turbo and forged internals. But I don't have anything to go off of other than speculation at this point since it will be a couple years until we see companies produce pistons/rods/valves/cams shafts/etc. That and I'm basing it off the idea that the b18c produces 170 ponies and I've seen ITR's that produce up to 350 off their blocks... and the 4b12 is a stronger engine block and MIVEC owns VTec any day (imo)
FTW!

Yeah, we have a turbo'd Lancer, but it's and 03 OZ Rally with a 4G94 motor.
Acme2 is on Flamingo and Valley View, across the street from the Las Vegas school for dealing, and kinda next to the Gold Coast parking garage.
The runs start at 8 PM and the gates open at 7. So we'll probably leave Acme2 around 5:45-6:00 so when can get into the track early. If anything, we can meet you at the track.

alright, I can probably make it there, it's not too far from my work Flam/Pecos. I'll just keep a change of clothes in my car. Hey MrBlonde, you think your vinyl buddy can do a flat black for the chrome trim on the lancer grill around the emblem and maybe the bumper cap? If so give me a price
Oh I got an awesome pic of some of our local competition.

Saw him on the 95 tried to race him but he pretended I wasn't revving at him.
Stock exhaust, Whale Tail, Riced kit, Stock Block (he revved once and I heard no turbo or even a CAI or SRI sucking in)
He may have the whale tail, but I have the Shark Mouth
"So if NISMO stands for Nissan Motorsports... Than does that mean HOMO stands for Honda Motorsports?..."
Some integra's are slick and fast... but It's a damn shame when you see these kids that spend 4,000 on an insanely absurd body kit and spoiler when they could've had performance or at least an ITR JDM conversion.

Mayhem702, I will ask, and of course he can, he did it to mine...as you can see.... and that intergra...the tail is bigger than the car...lol.....the pic wouldhave been better, if you took it as you passed him.....lol
I will make it to one of the meet-ups soon... just gotta get my work schedule steady first.... 5am comes really early and fast.....

lol I took like 8 pics, That's the only one you can actually see the car. After I passed him he tried to keep up with me
bahaha
I downed into 3rd got it to 4,000 enganged clutch revved to 6,ooo to warm up the MIVEC, dropped the clutch and took off... even if he had full exhaust it was still auto
... although I hear those Altezza tail lights add horsepower
and my spoiler can't compete with the whale tail's down force

It all depends on personal preference. I've taken CVT's with little effort, I like to be able to rev mid shift to come into gear with engine momentum.
The other problem is stability... I don't know alot about CVT's but I do know in general Auto trannies are substantially weaker than manual and I plan on pushing my stock engine/tranny as far as I can before the rebuild.
That and you can't deny that manual trans makes you feel more as a part of the car than the paddles do. I'm sure we'll see a 6-speed conversion somewhere down the line and with a stage 2/3 clutch I can make the shifts faster than most the slaps out there.. Altho CVT is pretty quick, you still can't mid rev on the shifts... but they also don't have to replace a clutch
