Does anyone here have or know of an oil cooler for sale for my Evo VIII? Just finished rebuilding the motor and the only thing I haven't replaced is the oil cooler. Mines probably fine but I don't want to take any chances as the reason for the rebuilt was a destroyed piston... Not likely pieces of it got in the crank case...

 

Couldn't you just have it cleaned or hot tanked?

 

I guess but everything I've read that you can't 100% get everything out (assuming anythings in there in the first place). I would hate to spin a bearing on my brand new motor by trying to save a few bucks. Paranoid at this point I guess...

 

What motor do you have? And are you on island?

 

4G63T (2003 Evo 8). I live on Oahu (Waialua). You got one?

 

 

I mean it has the 3.2l S54... Also need an egr solenoid (the one attached to the intake manifold stay)...

 

When's the next cruise, it's been a while since the evo been opened up, and it's about that time!
