EvoVIII808- Not me today! I was in the Evo. lol I try to split duty between the DDs so the miles don't add up as fast.

Kind of a newbie question, but would it be worth it to have AMS reflash the stock ecu when they are here in Hawaii to have a better overall tune, considering the relatively stock nature of my Evo? I mean, I've been trying to read up when I can and I know they run really rich (yet still knock on 91 oct), so I'm thinking it would be good to clean it up. Maybe raise the boost to a safe level for the stock setup and add hard i/c pipes and/or a fmic. Thoughts or suggestions would be great. I plan on putting some more money and time in the Evo, but right now the Lotus is eating up all my money and the truck could use some practical stuff... Thanks guys and let me know when the next meet is.

[quote=the7thsin;8688558]Madrican- Nope. Not me. Mine is GG and an MR SE. Probably more likely to see me out near Makakilo or in downtown.quote]

Never heard of a 9 MR SE...What does the MR SE come with? From my understanding the SE was a GSR with MR parts.

It's just a MR with the SE package. I believe what that translates into is a standard MR with the red stiched seats. Were all the BBS rims diamond black? If not, add that to the list.

If you do a search on the forum, you'll see a few people that have a MR SE.

Thanks, I researched it earlier since I never heard of it till now. The only website that had anything on it was motortrend. Learn something new everyday, .

Sometimes I wish I would have brought a IX instead of my X or GSR X for that matter. Too late now, lol. Any cruise going on this month??

I'm the Ed that isn't you.
Just new to these forums, and Evo's in general; getting an 06 MR soon just got my loan approved not too long ago. Fell in love after driving my friend's 9, seats are comfortable as hell. Seen you around at Starbucks Waikele a couple of times too, I think it was a Evo & Subi meet.

Lol oh damn, I knew that.
If you've got time, I've got a noob question for you lol.
If your getting turbo flutter when your turbo isnt fully spooled, but its fine at higher psi/higher spool, should you just change the Bov anyways? Or is that just normal? I remember just shifting regularly at around 3/3.5k and already experiencing flutter, not that it wasn't totally unexpected though. But I know its really unhealthy for turbos. Don't think my friend has the cash to upgrade to an FP anytime soon either.

When you say Ed, are you referring to me or someone else?
Sry was talking about SLO-EVO himself. haha

Price was about 350-500 all depending on how many people and how much time. It would have cost me almost 600 for my Power FC Tune, and 2 hrs tuning time. ill have to dig up the emails for the old price.
