I saw one blue evo on nellis a while back. Three dudes and one in the back dipping. I tried to say hi but they wouldn't look over at me. I guess the small wing is deceptive.

I went to the track this past friday i was the only evo there... my car was running like S HIT!! i ran like 6times won once, due to the fact my cars MAF sensors wire was rubbing against the metal heat sheild of my AEM intake. it virtually cut the connector and was making my ECU unstable and crappy!! i couldnt even floor the car!! as soon as i hit 3-4k rpm it would jerk really hard back en forth so i had to ease off on the accelerator and collect my slips for 16-19 sec. runs (i embarrased my car and myself!!) i ran 5 more times and i got the same results!! i didn't even know what the problem was till after the races.. i put back my stock box and and put electrical tape around the spliced connector and she's running better then before no more jerking problem when WOT. the AEM SRI sucks it does more damage then good i wish i listened to other people. i looked like a fool out there i'm supposed to be beating some of the cars i raced.. i gotta admit that civic HB with slicks was FAST!! he mustve got a 12sec slip. i'll redeem myself next mayhem w/c i beleive is on the 18th. that was my first outing with my EVO at the track bad impressions indeed. it started to mess up when i got there.. at least i was able to fix the problem.. what was your guyz 1/4 time btw on stock EVO? where are the meets held at?

 

I did a 14.2 @97 stock. Last time I went my clutch slipped at the line I got a 14.6 @ 102.54 witha 2.95 60ft! Too much traction.......made my clutch slip. I blame the sticky crap on the track. I did the same launch on the street and lit the tires.

 

What's with all these s hitty times. Stock Evos should easily run 13.8. I know elevation, track conditions, but 14.5 or higher is bad.

 

Thin air, bad track, bad driver, weak evo...... Any number of things. Quickest Evo I have seen in Vegas ran a 13.9, that was a yellow one about a year ago.

I have the trap speeds for a low 13/high 12 just a ****ty 60ft.

 

i think i'm in the bad driver category also...

 

You aint the only one. But what can you say, practice makes perfect. And if people got beef with you running slow time and saying evo's suck, tell them to come my way. I got 2 Mikens ready to bash some f ucking heads.
