Okay storytime.

I was dropping a friend off at his apartment. I was in the right hand lane and had my turn signal on. I was slowing down and noticed these kids were not paying attention and just walked right in front of my car. I was almost stopped. So I came to a complete stop, turned at about a 45 degree angle waiting for the kids to finish crossing the entrance to the apartment complex. Then I hear tire screaching and thought someone was burning out. Stupid me. The guy behind had slammed on his brakes and plowed right into my bumper hard as hell. I shut the car off, pulled up the parking brake and got out cursing and screaming. The guy face was like this . Then he had the ***** to ask me what I wanted to do about it. I told him to pull over and I wanted the cops. We move the cars out the way and I asked if he had a cell phone to call the cops. He said no. A bystander was kind enough to lend me his. I turn around and the little s hit got on his phone. He said he was late to work. I said you aint going nowhere until the cops show up and I get a report. A few hours pass. During that time
f uckface said he didn't hit me that hard and there was minimal damage. Yeah right. My ****ing trunk floor was pushed up and the metal was creased in. Very ugly. So the cop shows and I tell him in about 10 seconds what happened. Cop looked at the kid and said why did you hit him. The kid tried to say it was my fault and all kinds of ****. I was getting very aggrivated by now. So the cop told the kid it was his fault and basically to shut up or he would right him up an 8 point ticket. As the cop was righting down the report he turned to me and laughed. He said it was funny because the kid only had liability insurance. So my **** would be covered but his damage would come out of his pocket. His car was ****ed up. Hood creased in, light busted and bumper and all kinds of ****. Ha. Finally got the report, kid still was trying to fight his way out of it, cop had nothing of it. Cop started getting real pissed off. He asked the kid how close he was to me. He said about two cars behind. The cop asked him what the dmv rule is for distance behind another car traveling 45. The kid said two cars. F ucking wrong dumba ss.
He should have been 4 cars behind me. Then the cop asked the kid what the average distance was to stop a car traveling 45. The kid didn't know. 95 feet the cop said. So either way the kid was in the wrong. Shut him up quickly. Cop was cool. I went to the base hospital after that. Real bad lower back pains. That's gone now. F ucked up part was a few days after my baby lost her virginity, some genius decided to ding my front passenger door and take some paint off in the process. So I have two claims pending in one week. F ucking awesome. Funny thing is the trunk has no damage whatsoever. I was hoping to get some carbon fiber goodness but oh well.

On the bright side, I am an official home owner. Getting the security system installed this week as well as the window blinds and the water softener. Moving in a few weeks. I can't wait. Life is good. Hope you guys have an awesome day.

Later.

Well f uck that f ucker. Did you already get it looked at by the insurence? If not use a bat on that ole trunk and get a carbon fiber. :-) I have a really nice door ding to and the clear coat on my calipers is coming of. I also have a nice dent on my hood you have seen. O well **** happens.

Messed up story Alex.

Good luck on the new house. I see the salesmen got to you quickly. Alarm, blinds, water softener. Wait for the bug guys, landscapers, more alarm guys. They give your name out once you sign the papers and salesmen know when new houses close so they get you right away.

I don't want to be responsible for bad advice, but I have heard Falconi's body shop does excellent work. I have seen a few cars from there and great jobs. They specialize in imports, but mostly Honda/Acura, but take on any import work. They are off Industrial and Polaris. South of Trop. Like I said, I don't want to feel bad for telling someone to go there and they get a bad job. Let us know.

Here you go Alex. Apparently there is a whole thread about crashed evo trunks and how to repair/replace them. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=90010
