Last time I had to do it, I had a 3" Magnaflow muffler, 3" piping coming from a Rev Hard turbo kit (t3/4), with a 2.2 Prelude engine in my old '00 Civic hatchback.

Yellow Evo sighting on West Lake Mead
Hi guys,
I am new to the board.
I saw a yellow Evo on West Lake Mead today with the license plate IL2XLR8 or something like this. Is this person on this forum? Nice looking car!
I am in the process of searching for an Evo to modify with a goal of 450+ whp. I can't decide whether to save the money and buy a used 03' for about $24k or a new 05' at $30k. I figure once I start substantial modifications that the powertrain warranty is out the window. WHat do you guys think?
Are the local Courtesy Mitsubishi dealers friendly to modifications or do they shun them and automatically void the warranty?
Cheers!

Yes, the warantee is gone once you do major mods, even minor ones like boost control. Courtesy is not mod friendly but I asked them and they say if the mod is not related to the problem, it's covered.
If you can find a clean 03, then why waste the extra $$ on a brand new one. But 24k will be hard to find. They carry more value than you think.
I'll sell you mine for 26K already modded somewhat..........J/K
