I might be coming back sunday, if all goes well. Going to try to catch an early flight. What time does D1 start, and can I still get in to check stuff out on sunday?

 

I think they practice tonight and the event is on Saturday around 6pm. On Sunday you can come by and help the people who work there to pick up the trash because thats all your gonna see on that day.

Hey Doug, can t you just tune the lean fuel map and high timing map in the evo 9 for race gas and the lower maps (fuel, timing) for 91? the car will know when to switch internal maps with the knock filters right? I'm just wondering how long the car has to be without knock before the ecu advances to a higher map?

 

Al can make you a dual flash map. email and ask him the same questions. Remember, the IX ECU is a little more tricky than the 8. Lot more going on at the same time.

I talked to Oliver today about the switchable map, he said in fall it should be ready. He'll get me on the test program when its pretty much gtg. He said for now, even if tuned for 91, if you reset your ecu it will read the high octane map when running 100, and your really not leavin that much on the table. 5-6 hp peak or so. So thats not that big of a deal.
