All CF hood clearcoats crack because of the lack of insulation protecting the coat. I think Manny is the only one without cracks on his. He has some nice insulation underneath it.

 

Manny that works thread from revvin9k is dumb. He lost 22hp from doing 10.5 hotside and works o2. So he puts stock o2 on, and loses 2 more hp. He failed to mention that test was done 2 1/2 months ago, when it was probably alot cooler then 85 degrees in illinois. I respect buscher for doing a valid test, and he gained 22hp on the works unit over stock, and 24hp on the ebay over stock. He did no tuning at all though, and the psi dropped from the ebay to the works allmost 1 psi, which is usually about 10 hp. I think with bringing the boost back up and some tuning, the works/invidia will make more powa.

Back on monday, parts are sittin at my house waiting to be put on! Works 3inch DP ceramic coated, HFC, Intermediate pipe and drop in filter. What sucks is the muffler is on backorder, so I'll have 3 inch from turbo to there. Sleeper hehe. Hopefully muffler in next week so thats cool. Cant wait to put this ****e on. See ya thursday.

 

The seibon are good hoods. Only reason mine cracked is from having a manifold with no coating, the heat is alot more compared to the stock one.

 

No matter what I plan on painting the hood ...so the cracking of the clear coat isnt that big of a deal ... its more about the strenght of the hood and fitment.

Well it fit great, i had to clean out the windshield washer holes but you have to on most hoods just from the clearcoat getting in them. Its pretty strong to doesnt flex that much, but no matter what hood you get i suggest getting hood pins.
