yep. sometimes all it takes is the middle finger to get motherf*ckers to leave u alone. i just got 100 miles to go before i hit 600 miles which is the recommended break in period. once i hit 600 im still gonna take it easy til i get to 1000. after that......LET THE BOOSTING BEGIN.

there is a different type of breakin that is controversal. Its recomended by MC dealers but not too often car dealers. Basicly beat the snot out of the engine for the first 1k. Supposed to seat the rings better in the newer cars. Not one person that has done this has had issues that I know of. Yet if you havent done it by the firts 200mi, then forget it. Too late.
Wish I knew about it when I got the IX. We babied it for 6oo miles.

this is how I broke in my last few cars, all have ran noticeably strong. Now I don't believe in abusing the clutch though. Read this and decide for yourself... http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

I ran a bit of boost through mine a couple times in the 600 mile break in. I just didnt take it past 5k rpm till 600, then 6k rpm till 1000 miles.

Couple quick boost blasts up to 5-5500 is good to seat the rings is what I figured.

This is how a motor should be broken in. Now the clutch, yes, do not abuse it.
