Las Vegas Evo's
depends on what happend on the 2.1 60ft, if it bogged it may hurt a couple mph. The lower 60ft sometimes doesn't increase trap speed, if I hook well I will have a lower trap speed, spin the tires i will gain a mph or 2. Do you have aem? I can check your log to see if something is going wrong. Oh and I haven't forgot I owe ya, just never know when you are around, send me your address and I will get it out to you.
Feel free to ask around with the people I have road tuned. Thats all I do now. It wasnt directed at anybody. All Im saying is the tune is logged multiple times setting the AFR's and timing with my zeitronix. I didnt buy an extra bosch o2 sensor to use strictly for tuning for nothing. No point in taking shots, it can go both ways...
Also, you might not want to "custom tune" any 03-05 evos on a stock fuel pump. I thought that every "tuner" knew that. But I guess going straight to a IX you probably didn't know that about the VIII's
So the dynojet doesn't seem to be accurate?
I would think it should be higher then that. My trap was 125 with 524 on the mustang and a JDM 6mt. with the evo gears and only 19whp shy of mine on a dyno jet I would think should get you around 130. Just so you know, I pick up 3mph getting rid of my passanger (180lbs) but only gained 3mph with a extra 74whp (C-16) compared to my last best 11.5 run @ 122 (100oct). the better 60' will help some, but in my experience with a big turbo, lightning fast shifts is the key to keep the boost up. did you log your runs? Does your boost drop much between gears? Are you FF shifting? Going to MM tonight? From what I saw last time your shifts seemed pretty good. If your there and I'm not in line, I'll pay closer attention and tell Monita to get some runs on film unless your using the in car cam. that would even be better. LMK

you guys should compare 1/8th mph and times. Not bagging on you Mike, those numbers are about right on that dyno for what you have. But come on, Jesse made over 400 on a dynojet and a IX with the same mods only made 255? Doesn't seem right.
My 05 with an exhaust, mbc, intake, and Dynotrash tune made 278/285 on 91 on Doug's dyno. IDK, maybe doug changed something on the dyno so it reads higher for Al. I know he's ghey for Buschur and Dynotrash.

It doesn't matter what you think Manny about my dyno. Its all too easy to blame the dyno. I own it. You don't. It has over 5000 dyno runs on it. I think more than anyone I know if its consistent or not. Everyone has an opinion. Clark made 297 with that IX with cams, TBE, pump, controller. It based at 255 before he starting tuning it. It had atleast another 30 WHP left in it. Guy only wanted it tuned for an hour. Every car is different. No two put the exact same numbers down. There were some things with that IX that were holding it back. But again everyone makes their own parts selection and installations.
My IX RS made 221 stock. I am at 404 now on 100. Stock turbo was 337 with BR stage 4 , Green was 369 and cams took it over 400. No bull****, no crap. Just 100 Rebel gas on 25 psi now. All BR parts. Am sure thats whats holding it back. Ebay might have been better.
I will say this. Its rare to see an EVO come in that makes the power it should. I call most of their problems owner inflicted. i.e. boost leaks. Few go to the track and put down the trap MPH the HP numbers say it will. Its always some excuse. "track was ****ty, I missed a gear, my launch was off."
Have had some impressive mildy modified EVO's lately. Flashed a lot of them and cleaned up the "parking lot" flashes they had. Come in sitting on the knock sensor with 25-30 knock count. 180 HP. JDM Mivec maps reported to make 30 WHP. With more timing than my IX has in it. I don't really care who tunes what. Its a free market system. Everyone should enjoy their EVO's and get along. Pissing contests don't really accomplish alot. I'd much rather run at the track with a 340 WHP tune and run what the car is slated to run from a powerspeed program. Than inflated numbers and be ten MPH low. All different tools out there to achieve ones goals with their cars. Its what drives the import world.

Manny, next time at the track. Walk up to ZombieSS and tell him my dyno is just plain junk. Please do. Why not tell that to Trevor and James? You guys all bag on Trevor. Everytime a new EVO member moves to town you guys talk about your tuning services. Your installations. Thats fine. Free market system. Nothing wrong with helping out a fellow car guy. Trevor has done EVERYTHING on an EVO except rebuild a tranny. He does good work. Maybe he approaches his business and customers differently than you guys. He is honest and reliable. I don't see many EVOs beating James. For what he has in his EVO. And on my POS Junk *** dyno it made 598. 550 on E85.

so I guess he just didn't tell me his final #'s for some reason. I didn't catch that part "baseline runs" I wont mention his name cause I don't know if he wants anyone to know his #'s or whatever. I reread the PM after seeing what Doug said he made.
As for the trap, I was saying I would expect Redline's car to trap more, I'm pretty certain mine is about maxed as far as whp and trap.
Again, sorry for the misinformation and confusion.
I was just giving a few other #'s that have been done lately besides mine since I know there would be some controversy over them. Or doubt, or whatever.
Bottom line, it is what its is, and it made gains, that was really my point.

my tune is fine! im happy for hitting 122mph, on 24psi stock boost is at 22. I need more and more practice. I now have 2step so that should help btw i never met trev but i dont recall anyone saying bad stuff about him.
