need help......anyone running cosworth 272 cams and have a loud clicking noise in the valve train????.....i just started hearing the clicking recently when you rev the motor......is this normal for having these cams???? also i dont have upgraded springs or retainers....all stock...my friend mark told me its the egr valve that connects to the valve cover and the car runs fine ....

 

I think your friend meant PCV valve, Harvey. Not EGR.

Did you bleed your lifters when you did your cams? It could be lifter tick.

 

Bingo! And if you stay at stock rev, you shouldn't need springs and retainers.

 

Yes it does Vibrate, but not the one you're used to between your legs

oopppsss......yes the pcv valve is what he told me....and no, corey didnt bleed the lifters when he installed my cams 8 months ago.....do you know anyone who can bleed the lifters.....the noise is bugging me...


yes, im on a stock redline right now.....

 

In order to bleed the lifters, you have to remove the cams. not a 5 minute job if you know what I mean.


Speaking of cams, anyone have the timing belt tensioner tool that I can borrow to do my cams? Didn't want to have to order one.
