Hey Dan, hoping you might know what this sound I experienced today might have been. I was driving earlier and I boosted a little bit going from 2nd to 3rd gear. Well when I shifted I may have let off on the clutch too quick and I heard a bang sound come from the rear of the car. Car still drives fine, just worried me something may have happened. Any idea?

was it more of a clunk?
I get that when i shift quickly and release the clutch fast.
its just the dif clunking as power is transfered back to the dif in a quicker then normal way.

yes that bang sound between shifts is normal, some say solid rear diff mounts will help the clunk go away, I think it helps some, but you will get more drivetrain noise with the solid mounts.
