I tried running it out before, and it was prolly like 50-100 ft shy of the ET marker. That was when I was using my friends rims 235/40/17 not even thinking of how it would affect my gear ratio. I have since got some 245/45/17 so it should help and I probably wont even have to go all the way to 8400, but might as well just raise it whether I have to use it or not.

Can you do that Rob? =]

ponce, just convert to a 5 speed trans already! it will solve your problem....also, if you raise up your redline higher from where you are at right now, its possible that your plan might back fire on u. if the turbo/motor doesn't make anymore power (highlighted on your quote) revving to 8400 just to stay in 4th gear by the end of the track, it can hurt you too by having a slower time slip cuz it will just drag the car down for the couple of seconds you need to stay in 4th.....just my 2 cents into your plans

Happy new years!

Harvey, you are right about one thing. I will lose power keeping it in gear to 8k, not so much the *** dragging part. Once the car gets up to speed, it doesnt take as much power to keep it going. The car may not speed up, but it wont slow down even if the car is 300-320 whp by 8k.

Hey Guys! I haven't been on here in ages, but I'm putting a feeler out to sell my 03 LY VIII here in Vegas. I'm gonna do a listing in FS with more info as soon as I get a chance to take some pics, but just thought I'd post here 1st to see if anyone is interested or might know someone that's interested.

It's got approx. 74,500 miles. Never had any issues with the motor, turbo, or TC....

Mods:
HKS hi-power cat-back
HKS DP
Helix Hi-flow cat
HBC manual
Walbro 255hp FP
Blitz DTT DCII TT
GFB Stealth FX BOV
Autometer Boost Gauge
ACT clutch & flywheel

H2O pump, t-belt, serp belt, cam shaft sensor, slave cylinder & hydraulic clutch lines all replaced recently. Always have had regular maint. performed. Have all paperwork.

I have the stock turbo back exhaust, stock stereo, stock FP...and a Cusco rear strut tower, Ralliart carbon fiber shift panel, & Ralliart oil cap I will throw in to the new owner.

It's never been tracked (that was my ex-hubby's Evo, not mine, if any of you remember me!!!), never in an accident, only one owner, & I'm a non-smoker. Just passed smog 2 weeks ago. It does have an idle issue right now (had CEL on, but can't think of codes off the top of my head). The stealership said it's an issue w/ the idle motor?? Prob an easy fix, but I don't have the time to deal w/ it anymore. Also, hot/cold knob for HVAC has broken off. HVAC itself works, but because the knob is broken you can't select temp unless you use pliers. Wing has 3 small spots where clear is gone. Other than that, it's just normal wear & tear on the car (door dents, paint chips, etc)

I've loved this car since I bought it in Dec '03, but I just don't have the time, no-how, $ or patients for it anymore. I'm a single mom & full time student now so....Oh, and title is in hand so we can do this quick. Just get a bank check or cash my way and it's ready to become someone's new toy/project!! =D

Looking for $12,000/OBO VERY willing to negotiate if serious!!!
You can hit me up here or @ AllieVegasGirl@aol.com if interested!

Thanks!!

AllWheelHop on the lvsrt forums...."A local woman on EvoM posted this today. This is an absolute STEAL of a deal. SHe will probably take 10,500 or 11,000. Any of you guys who wanted an Evo, here is a chance to buy a clean car for nothing. Had I not broken my leg which has depleted my funds, I would be at the credit union Monday to buy it. The issues listed are a cheap fix that I will absolutely help fix. Someone buy this car!"

Like you said, I'm already listing at a ridiculous price so....I'm willing to negotiate, but within reason....I don't HAVE to get rid of it, I'm just considering it, hence why I'm putting a feeler out...My son is pissed at me for even thinking about selling b/c he wants the car for when he can drive in a few yrs. LOL

Oh & btw...I am NOT willing to consider taking payments from someone!! I've had a couple hit ups on that...I am not a bank! Get a loan, then come talk to me! Not trying to sound like a b*tch, but I'm not about to go that route!

When I sold my last 2 cars, people tried the payment route......screw that. Like I posted on there, this is a steal of a price.....I would have already gone after it since I'd love to have a second yellow car......but I have some hefty medical bills I have to get rid of.
