LAS VEGAS -- Prosecutors say a federal grand jury in Las Vegas has indicted 10 state-certified emissions testers on charges they falsified vehicle emissions test reports.
The Justice Department says one defendant is accused of falsifying more than 700 reports between November 2007 and May 2009, while others falsified as many as 250.
Prosecutors say nine of the men live in the Las Vegas area, and one lives in Pahrump. Each faces one felony Clean Air Act charge of falsifying reports.
Here is a list of the men's names:
* Alexander Wayne Worster
* David Eugene Nelson
* Joseph Dematteo
* Adolpho Silva-Contreras
* Louis Eugene Demeo
* Gary Smith
* Wadji Waked
* Eduardo Franco
* Peter Escudero
* William Joseph McCown
They're accused of using a practice known as "clean scanning" to pass vehicles. It involves entering the vehicle identification number of a vehicle that wouldn't pass into a computer, then testing a different vehicle that does pass.
Prosecutors say customers usually paid $10 to $100 more than the usual emissions testing fee.

does anyone in vegas ever get together? i wouldn't mind getting a big evo cruise or something like that going. I've thought about car and coffee but i live in boulder and i don't really feel like waking up at 6 on the weekends to get there on time while there's still people there...
anyone have an SSL package with their car and dont have a stock stereo or the infinity sub? I have one that i would like to give away to someone that needs one or will actually use it. lmk.
on a side note. those pics are oldschool. we should get something together soon. something that involves food. lol. anyways hit me up these things are taking up space.
