No but I hear Smogrunner is a good ex runner. He is the only Running Alky that i ever think about.lol
Casey I do not care about the hassle involved with that. On the street my 91 oct map which I seldom use is stupid fast. When u go to the track I do not believe that Alky is going to produce significantly better times than vp 109. Alky kits are just one more thing that can go wrong and destroy my engine. I can run 91 oct on my race map as long as I stay off of boost also so i see no need for Alky injection. It forces me to have a lil restraint on the street and that will likely keep me out of jail. However if I am lookin for trouble I put 100 oct in the car and stay off boost and get good gas mileage until a victim comes along and gets Stallowned.

i don't see why shiv or tuning tech can't do an alky set up tune for me than.is it that hard to tune it? i don't even need to run denatured alky,i can run windsheild wiper fluid cause i think i've read that shiv likes that weak ****.i really think alky is a good add on.the turbo buicks have great results,and the evo seems to be following the same line in making power.shiv/ttech can just give me a race tune on the alky set up.i'm will never buy an S-AFC,you'll never sell me on it.i'm putting my foot down on it.

 

i haven't read about any buicks blowing up on alky over on there site.i think it's safe,but than again i have not ran the car with it.i was going to,be than you know what happen,but now it'll be going back in.i'll take the chance of blowing up my car with it in(which won't happen)

 

It just brings another mechanical failure variable to the table that I do not feel comfortable with and the gains are only with pump gas. My view might change in the future and even if I wanted it I am not about to switch tuners as Shiv has been very good to me and Smoggy. Shiv is not pushing it yet due to many other projects more important and I believe he feels at this time it is not in his best interest. Shiv = the less parts to go fast the better. Less hassle and less chance for mechanical failure.

Jon being stuck on the Alky Kit is limiting ur options and is that good? I hope it works out and no I am not an expert on the Alky kit. Blowing up can happen from a number of mechanical failures and bringing in another Variable to run pump gas with a high boost tune is just not worth it to me. Be slower on 91 oct and when u want to race put in the 100 oct. That is how I do it. Or u can buy a secondary fuel cell and run around on 91 and flip a switch and ur race gas map is activated along with the good gas. Shiv wanted me to Beta this new fuel cell for him at cost and I declined. No need but it is a good alternative to Alky erection.
