Official Meet: SUNDAY, MAY 18th, CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY & ???
Ok, Richard gave me the task of organizing the next meet. The official meet will start at 1pm at California Speedway. We'll watch the autocross for a bit and then go somewhere else to eat/bbq when we get bored (this place is still being decided, I'll post info when I get it).
If anyone wants to race, be there at 7:30am and find me, I'll halp make your race day smooth and exciting. We should be done racing by the time the meet starts, so anyone wanting to see the Lancers and Evos in action should arrive by 9am.

I don't have a helmet and other accessories, must you have a lancer only to compete and how much?
I want to make sure everyone knows that racing is not a required part of the meet, but if you want to, you will have a blast!
This thread should answer all of your questions, and if not feel free to PM me with any more.

I have a spare helmet, and they also have loaners. Non-members pay $30.00 entry fee. All you need other than that is your car. Just about any street legal vehicle (and some not legal) is allowed, but please PM me so I can tell you what class to enter in and what time to arrive (different classes run at different times). Once at the race site, I'll be happy to help guide you through the day as well.

we gotta pay to get in and watch? I was a little unclear about that, and i am looking for a location to have a bbq or get together, maybe brian could get some of your opinions on whether you want bbq or resturant. The ontario mills is close to the speedway. all up to you guys.
Yeah, to clarify: Spectating is FREE! If it's the same as the last time we raced there, you enter on the North-east gate (on Cherry Avenue off the 10 freeway) and tell them you're here for the "SCCA Solo2" autocross. If that's not the right gate, the main gate on the same street should have someone to direct you. Once again, spectators can come and watch FREE, and please keep in mind that the lancers will be running between 9am and 12 noon, and the meet will start at 1:00, we'll watch other cars race and then go eat (Karlen, still waiting for your suggestions on where to go from there)

official meet is at 1pm, after the morning run group (which includes lancers). But if anyone wants to come early and race, please do. I would love to show those Subies that the Lancers travel in packs too.
