We usually stay until at least 7, sometimes even later. And don't hesitate to bring a stock Lancer. That's the best time to look at other people's mods and ask questions face to face, maybe even get to ride in the car and see for yourself.
I will be a little late for this meet. As some of you know, the grand opening at work is next week, so all employees must be there Wed through Sun, so I took a shift from 5am-1:30pm, which should get me to the meet by about 3 or 4. Because I know at 1:30 I will be asked tons of questions. Anyway, looking at getting some cool things to give away this time, too. Keep your fingers crossed.

i have one question? how is this going to work if some of us show up late? i know brian is showing up around 3 so if we have straglers are we going to wait for them before we all start racing? or is this more of a do whatever you want meet then meet up at a certin time?
it's usually a do what you want kind of thing. We'll park at the far end of the parking lot, hang around for a bit, maybe cruise to InnOut for lunch, then back for whoever wants to race/play video games/whatever.

what we usually do is talk and have fun. It all depends where we have the meets, sometimes we bbq, but at this place, the guys will race in the carts and then we go out to lunch and after we go out to eat. The after party is optional and only a few attend.

OUCH!!! Sorry everybody Im not going to be able to make this meet as I said earlier. I just got another job and they scheduled me for this weekend and I cant say no. I already tried to get someone to cover for me too.
I am like never on here anymore either. Between full time school and 2 jobs I have like no time.
I really wanted to show off my turbo and stuff too. Sorry everyone for the let down of another off the list. I also cant go to my friends 21st bday bash until after 11 pm which kinda sucks for him also. Someone might want to check on 2002oz also because he told me he might be moving back up to Oregon within the next few days or so.

See right up and pics of our race in Mexico on DSM boards.
Long story short, the car was acting up on Saturday so qualifying went
poorly. Electrical gremlins. We ended up qualifying last, taking third
place on Sunday.
The race on Sunday, the electrical problems were sorted out thanks to some
persistence by Tallini's Prancer boys, and well, let's just say that in
five laps, he moved from the back up to third place, dodging all the
A-class boys that were in his way as well. Then the Honda hit a wall,
hard. The race continued under the yellow flag for another four or five
laps. After that they threw the red flag and the cars came to a halt.
This would've been great for Rob since he was the only AWD car out there.
He lined up all pointing to the right, haha. If they had done another
standing start with the field all spaced-out as it was, he would've tore
RIGHT THROUGH the final cars and been able to just keep on pulling.
Instead, the Mexicans decided to do their usual unorthodox stuff and
brought the pace car out for a little more yellow flag fun. The white
flag was out on that lap, then they ****ing ended the race in the ****ing
yellow.
Needless to say this wasn't a crowd pleaser. Everyone felt cheated and
the winners all came by afterwards saying that they knew that we were
going to take first place within two laps. Everyone loves Tallini and RRE
down there--the crowd was rooting for him like mad. Earlier in the day
during practice I overheard some people watching from the top of their
motorhome. They said, "That's Tallini right there--the fast guy!"
I drove down into Mexico for the first time ever. While at the AAA office
buying Mexican insurance the lady there said, "Oh, you're taking an
Eclipse down there? Those are really hot right now, it's a good thing
you're buying this." Thaaaaaaaaaaaanks, I said. Then she said,
"Especially this weekend with the race going on and all. Lots of little
sports cars."
I was surprised that she'd heard of it, then I found out that she actually
lives in Tijuana so I told her what I was doing. She got really excited
and broke out the map to show me exactly how to get where I was going--I'd
never driven into Mexico by myself before and she was a great help. She
said she was going to come by with her husband and kids to watch on
Sunday. Lo and behold, she found us! She also managed to gather a crowd
for us during the race, all chanting "TALLINI!" as he drove by. Sweeet!
My car got a pretty good amount of attention this weekend--I stuck a
couple of RRE stickers on my rear quarter windows and everyone therefore
knew not to mess with it.
And as you can see, it did me some good.
Not the most common of cars down there and I was parked right in the pit.
Big ***** Style.
