Could possibly be that pesky Idle air flapper valve on the throttle body. Mine was leaking really bad. I just sealed it with some RTV Grey. At the same time I replaced my shaft seals as well, since they had a horrible leak too.



You already did a pressure test?

ill have to check all that tomorrow .. i havent done the pressure test either.. ima check out my turbo as well to see if its not blown .

have you tried by passing it and going straight to the waste gate?

So after tonight, I've decided to re-evaluate my priorities ... I'll stick with the stock turbo for now and get some good tires

Street tires: hankook rs3, or azenis615
I can't seem to find a 17 inch drag radial under 275, anyone know of any?

well just got home from the track and it was not a good day for anyone out there. lots of unseen issues came up and in my case theres gonna be some costly repairs. ill have to ease up on the evo for a few months and then ill get back in the game .

your not looking hard enough. Hoosier Quick time pros is what i would go for if i had 200. to spend on each tire. 245-45-17 FTW. also theres nitto 555r and bfg drag radials. all of these options cost some good money though. good luck on the search

And I'm looking for the 555r I can't find my size!!! I'm gonna keep searching. I would like to drive the car on weekends so qtp is a no go

you guys should have lowered your tire pressure to about 25lbs in the front and 28lbs in the rear

if wastegate is messed up how can i tell ? or if its stuck open ?
