Look at Alfredo's car! He's been on a ACT street disk for a while and he's making big power. We bolted my drag radials on his car and the clutch took it but didn't like it after 3 or 4 hard launches. I think you'll be fine on the single disk for a while. I'd recommend a twin if you can get the cash but wouldn't stress about it.
Lol maybe. My street disc is at least 3 years old. I just wanna make the power the first time. I don't wanna limit my tune on the act then when I get the twin, have to spend another 450 on a tune.

Its an exedy HD twin disc that needs the friction disc and floaters is the minimum. But I was gonna buy the whole twin into triple conversion that comes with all new everything for a couple hundred more. Its kinda my back up but im rebuilding a Quarter Master for my current set up .
You really NEED to try the RPS Twin Carbon. By far the best street clutch that will still hold 800ft/lbs
So right now I have the ACT HD street disc and flywheel. Should I spend the money on the twin or do you think a brand new disc should be alright. I don't plan on launching the car but 5-6 times a year. I'm looking to make 450-480ish. I know the torque is the problem. I'll keep it under 400,but a lot of single discs claim certain tq limits. How accurate do you think they are?
I have a ACT HD street disc and pressure plate(MB107) from my 9 that is in as new of a condition as a used clutch could be in...........$600
I finally got a Thursday off which it only happens rarely. I was excited to meet everyone and was looking forward last night for a week. I showed up but no one is around. I was a bit disappointed.
So then decided to drive grab some food and drove the around Red Rock mountain, then kept driving by myself.
I ended up on a road that leads to Mount Charleston. I then told myself, "Why not."
I drove Mount Charleston like the car was a pissed off bat out of a cave with some caution and safety margin keeping myself on my side of the lane. The whole time there was no traffic and if I only knew that it going to be just the mountain and me, I could have drove faster.
I might do it again tonight...

be careful up there...it's a favorite of mine as well (past 11pm or so).....but there's deer, horses, burro's, coyotes, foxes, etc.... You definitely don't wanna tangle up with any of those at speed!
+1 on the horses... I had an encounter on my motorcycle and at that speed they are merely a "shadowy figure" until you are pretty much right ontop of them.
If you have an evo X, I'll give you a first hand experience..
