So im trying to understand how accessport works for warranty purposes...
if i get my car tuned, i can switch back and forth to stock and tune? i dont have any work done yet. just trying to get rid of the governor. or do i need to get it tuned again if i re-flushed it to stock?

Yup. Use EvoScan to see where your current TPS setting is....probably 13.5-14.0% with the throttle closed. Put new throttle body on, and adjust TPS to what it previously was. Simple.
You can set it if you have a volt meter also.. There are guides online with specific instructions.
That would be cool ..... but I'm swapping it out cuz it was bored out 2mm ... has a different butterfly valve on it.... and 1 clip is missing from the shaft.... the idle is all over the place from 500-1000 rpms.... so I kinda wanted to start from scratch
I could plug into 8-10 cars and can say with near certainty that they will all be between 12.5 and 14%. That is basically factory spec. Also, your ISC motor could be on it's last legs also. Your car won't idle well with a bad ISC.
Heres the dyno sheet from when I ran my car the 10.9 passes
You can see the boost hits 34.5 psi and falls to 21. True 100% stock IX turbo.

The second graph is my car compared to a car with a HTA71. Imagine if I had one of those!

nice numbers, so the car with the HTA71 has close to same mods and exact same boost just more power I'm guessing.
btw, hello again everybody =]

Thomas, the same reason the SRT's don't hold boost on a stock turbo is the same thing on an Evo. The turbo can't flow all the exhaust gases efficiently through that little back housing, creating backpressure and thus choking the turbo out the top. That is why porting and clipping the backside and turbine wheel helps so much. It increases the maximum flow potential, which lends to higher wheel speed and more boost. When English went 10's on a stock 8 turbo, they had the same boost taper.
hit me up when your gonna run your car i wann come see / show support.

Nah, it only sounds that way when you read it out loud at home.
yeah 475tq is sick!! I forget how much TQ those small turbos put down. That white graph must be Paul's but he doesn't have GOOD parts to compare to your stock turbo. What ever happened to SD being JUNK or not a good setup? Seem's like you car runs very strong on Doug's new found skills with the SD
