You want them to check the valve seats, the combustion chambers for pits/cracks, valve guides, and have them check deck flatness.

 

i called Baker today they were really helpful so i should have the head off tomorrow and over to them on tuesday. thanks Eddie for the info and the recommendation.

your awesome Thomas i was wondering if you still had your stuff. can you pm me with a price i can come get them today if you are free. the evo 8 and 9 valves, springs ect are interchangeable right.

 

They're interchangable but I think I only have the valves and they have a fresh valve job done on them. I'll look for the springs when I get home.

 

Thomas, if you can't find your springs and retainers, I have the set we took off my car last month available.
