Another run to Flagstaff from Phoenix

For those of you that participated on our last run to Flagstaff in November, remember what a great drive this was! We had 11 cars and alot of fun! We are scheduling another run to Flagstaff before it gets too hot, but I needed to find out which date works for you all.

Question: Which date works best for you guys? April 17 or April 24?

Here is a description of the run:

We will be starting at the Wafflehouse 2516 W. Bell Rd Phoenix. 7:30am. We will go North on I17 and exit at Cordes Junction. Travel West on SR69 to Prescott/Prescott Valley. Refuel and break in Prescott Valley at Fry's parking lot. Take 89a North to Jerome.

Then continue North on 89a to Sedonna via Cottonwood. Take a break in Cottonwood or Sedonna and then off to Oak Creek Canyon. Next stop will be Flagstaff.

Last time we made it back to Phoenix by 2:30pm, but that was a pretty high speed run.

Please keep in mind this run is "fun/safe" drive. We want to keep it safe and is not any sort of competition.

Sweet, you read my mind. I just popped in here to see when the next meet/drive was gonna be. Good call!

I'm down for either day. Both days are far enough in advance that I can plan around it.

Count me in for sure!

Awesome, looks like 9 cars now.

Votes are in from email, forums, and PMs. 4/17 is the day. We will be meeting 7:30am at the Wafflehouse on Bell and I17.

Badass, the more the merrier.

Now that I look at the dates, and considering I work every other weekend, I'm probably gonna get called in on the 17th since I work April 3rd. Ahhh the joys of working in IT. lol

But wait a minute, I think I feel an April fever coming on. I might have to miss work that weekend, and I think that's a sore throat too. *cough* *cough* yep, it is.

Trevor, is Don with the Yellow EVO coming?

Don is cruising with us on 4/17.

Last count is 14 cars. Keep in mind we are going to have a big variety. So far what I have heard on the drive are: Evos, Lancers, Soobies, SRT4s, S2000, Volvo S60R, AE86.

Also, guys, if you haven't gotten one yet, you should pick up a walkie talkie style Radio, similar to the Motorola Talkabouts. The drive is much more enjoyable and it helps alerting everyone of any changes up ahead.
