Front license plates don't look cool! I took mine off now I have a big hole I need to fill.

I don't understand why porsches and vettes get away with them, but not ricers. I remember the number one reason a cop will pull you over to check your mods is when they see you have no front license plates.

Damn u reminded me of the fuggin Malibu meet. Out of the pack of like 40 or so cars I got targeted to be pulled over and given a speeding ticket. Meanwhile another cop came to the parking lot of the beach and told everyone to put their front plates on.

Kara, I don't know if you noticed but Chris posted a thread just like this a few hours before you titled "Law to ban front license plates". You're a mod here, so feel free to merge/trash/leave it be as you wish.

Yeah, I doubt any online petition will every fly anywhere. No verification of reality. And I do agree with someone that those are weak arguments.

And for those who say none of the domestics ever get caught, I got a ticket for no front plate on my Trans Am GTA. That's why I put my front plate on asap on my Lancer.

I think this petition will never be taken seriously. I think that to get this states attention right now, the law change would have to result in a decrease in cost for the state and didn't compromise the safety of the individuals.

Want to think of reasons that the plate law should be rescinded... that can be tied to the budget?

I wonder how much money this state could save if it only had to print one plate per car registration? I wonder how much money this state could save by only having to ship plate packages to the DMV and to personal addresses if the package weighed half as much as it does currently?

if you were in the parking lot and your car wasnt turned on while the cop was there.... you didnt have to put the plates on.. punk *** cops...

the thread person should start a petition on PAPER and not online... your politicians probably wont take it seriously if its online!

But when the parking lot only has one exit, you don't want to give the cop a reason to hang out for the next couple of hours... he knows you have to be out of that lot by sunset. When he came to me and asked "which car is yours?" I said "the one with a front license plate" and he laughed. He didn't give us a real hard time... just busted our ***** a little then went on his business when he saw we were peaceful.

my point: you can commend someone for NOT doing something that he isn't even able to do in the first place.

but, WHOA, is this getting OT. haha
