So I took my evo to the dealer for the intermediate service, which includes tire rotation.
3000 miles later, I decided to rotate the tires again. And I realize those dumbass service guys at mitsu way-way-way over tighten the lugs at the wheel.
I have a compressor and a impact wrench, and it couldnt loosen the lugs.
so i tried to use the stock L bar and jump on the bar, lugs wont budge. I weight about 160 and the stock bar is about 1 foot long, by have me JUMPing on it, i am estimating its close to 200lb-ft
I had to use a longer L bar from an SUV to break the lug loose.
The service manual calls for 80lb-ft max on the lugs, I am guessing they tighten the lugs to 225+ lb-ft
I seriously hope the over-tighten lugs dont pull my alignment off or damage the lug threads
so who ever worked on my evo, a big F you to your dumbass!!!!
and a giant F you to Puente Hills Mitsu!!!!!!

i don't know about the service that they gave you it might have been the mechanic that was a dumbass but i don't know. well this sunday i'm going to get an evo from that dealership so i'm hoping they don't mess that up.
puente hills treated me like a god on the phone explaining everything that comes with the evo i was about to purchase. when i went there, all hell broke loose. they added crap on the car that they never told me, like sports package and prestiege coating, and the msrp sticker didnt even have any of those added options. when i walked out, the general manager shouted with frustration at me why i wasted his time. they actually wasted my time by selling me something that we never discussed on the phone.
i hope they dont lure you in and expect you to purchase their car with lots of added options. good luck.

When I tried to buy my evo from them about a year ago, I went there 3 times (i live close by) expressing my interest in getting one, no one from the sales dept treated me seriously... so i ended up getting my evo somewhere else...
you should have written a complain letter to Mitsu headquarters about the dealer added those crap in without your knowledge... Mitsu can limit the number of new cars that this dealership gets in the next shippment as a punishment for pissing customer off

i would've filed a complaint, but i managed to snag an evo from another dealer without any problems. if i was really desperate, then i would've filed a complaint, but maybe not, im just too lazy.
