I agree... also the 1/4 gives the better overall comparison as the gearing changes between cars factors in greatly. Some pull hard in the 1/8th but top out quick so their 1/4 suffers. In terms of gauging car performance i use the 1/4. But in order to see potential and develope the driver skills the 1/8 is a useful tool.

No traction on his turboed lancer is why it is meaningless. But I bet Boni is down for 2nd and 3rd gear rolls on the streets or freeway as that is the only type of racing where he can compete. Alex I remember a turboed Lancer thread awhile back and it got ugly for a second. A couple started talking about taking out Evos on the freeway and I chimed in and gave an objective fair opinion and I believe Boni was one of the guys that gave me a hard time. IMO They were talking crap just to justify their purchase. It almost sounded like they were saying that the Evo is not all that and that their Prancers are a better performance deal.Boni I hope you are happy with your purchase and your Prancer but just because it will get destroyed at the 660ft does not mean it is worthless. I feel high speed rolls on the highways are worthless not to mention dangerous but you have to pick whats right for you.OUT!

Just when the conversation was getting civilized again...

IE: let the young lad go... he's got a sweet ride and ivested a lot. If he challenges you to a rolling start just challenge him to a slolem or skid pad test.

Alex don't count BONI out... he's stage 2 RRM and about to become stage XXX

Seriously though he is very fast. Evo launch fast i don't think so but if he can get beside IE in 2nd he'll pull him in 3rd most likely. It will all be about the launch for sure!

It's good to hear that there will be another drag strip to check out besides Carlsbad and Fontana. I was at Carlsbad 2 weeks ago and they said that they would be racing until October of this year. Now they announced that August 8th would be the last bracket race and they may close anytime now. I'll definitely be going down to race at Barona one of these days and if they make it a 1/4 track that would be even better.

Boni say hello to daddy. Stop bench racing and get out there and show me a timeslip with a trapspeed. How come I have never witnessed a fast Prancer. Because there are not that many or they are blownup from too much boost. Is Boe still the owner of the fastest Prancer with a respectable 13.8. What was the trapspeed on that run Boe. Boe your boy Boni will be buslengths behind from a dig. And I am not talking about the bus(lengths) that Boni spent several hours in when being transported to school. I am talking about the big buses not the retarded kids bus that Boni spent the better part of his childhood on.FWIW I respect all cars I just do not respect Boni. I think he/she is an internet thug that needs to be checked on occasion. Never been to the strip but his/her car can do low 13s so he/she says. It is funny how many people think they have a fast car until they go and empiracally test it and find out it is low average much like Bonis IQ.My bad I am being too optimistic about Bonis mental capabilities more like the retarded range based on my internet assessment. A couple weeks back Evo with turbo upgrade was supposedly the fastest at Fontucky.Guy put down stock times. A month back or so turbo upgraded Sti was going to run 11s or low 12s, almost. Dude it is cool to be optimistic but bench racing proves nothing and I don't see no timeslips . Tell everybody you can beat IE Evo and all Evos and never go to the track to be proved wrong. If you do show up you will be owned dude as I have over 50 timeslips and I guarantee my worst slips can compete with any # you can currently put down. What a tard.FWIW Boe don't bet on Boni unless he/she can drive and that Prancer is heavily modded Evo in disguise. Can't wait for this showdown.

Boni i know your fast... especially on the highway but on the track is a different story.

IE Evo: My best was actually a 13.2 @ 110 at Carlsbad. But that was at 11 psi on my crappy toyo's. I'm not the fastest though as The RRM drag car took that title. But i'm not gutted out and on slicks either... plus they were running at 13psi and then at 15 went boom. I never went past 11 psi. My trap speed shows me more potential if i had some slicks and good launch.

On the highway i was killing a lot of cars but as i've said highway and track all different world. The track is all about the dig and an evo can dig better than its FWD little brother.

IE: Please stop saying prancer though as that is kindof disrespectful to guys that actuall have fast lancers. Attacking Boni is fair game but leave the car out of it please!

Cool Boe I will be more civil toward the car due to the fact that I respect all cars like I posted and the Lancer is cool IMHO. Having a fast lil sleeper is good stuff but Boni is on the net calling people with other set-ups still slow and saying that 1/8 mile tracks are worthless etc. It is great that Boni loves his/her Lancer but Boni needs a reality check.Slow is a relative term and my car is slow compared to some but I have never professed that it is the fastest rice on wheels nor do I put others down that are slower by calling them slow(unless they start talking crapola).Btw Boe 13.2 at 110 is repectable and that trap shows that your car is making great power. Congrats on having a cool lil beast.Hope to see you at the track someday so I can meet a very knowledgable objective Lancer owner that has empiracal evidence on how quick/fast they are. Boni get off the bench and show us all some timeslips. When you show me some proof of how fast you are then you can call others slow. I really can't count street racing as evidence because there are too many variables to verify what car is stronger. You will probably kill me on the freeway because i will back off if it gets too dangerous. I respect my life and others but on occasion when I deem it safe enough I get stupid on the highway and back streets. However I back off before it gets dangerous. Take it to the track Boni when it is complete and I hope you can trap 116mph cause that is what it will likely take to be in the ball game.

IE: now that was well put. Boni gets big but he's proud of his ride and should be. A little trash is cool it keeps things interesting. If he shows up to race you then it will truly be on!!

As for me i've decided to get back into the muscle cars. I'll have a nice V-8 monster that i'll be building up over time. I've sold my turbo setup and became more of the tuner for the lancer community since i know the car so well. When i can i'll let you know and try to meet you at borana. I'd like to see the stage 2 evo.

Boe, all i have is a stage 1+ Evo from Vishnu. I will not be getting a stage 2 but was contemplating it the last month or so.All these turbo kits are not putting up the results that I expected. My car is fairly quick as is so for now the Evo retains the stock turbo. BTW what v-8 monster did you get or are you getting. I still contemplate getting a Cobra but the Evo is cool for now and it is a better overall car. As for Boni I hope to see you at any track any time soon to give you a lil dose of reality. You are kinda fast!

My budy has a 91GT with the EFI 302 crate motor in it. It has the GT40 alum. heads/intake man, bbk headers, 75mm egr plate, stock tb though and stock exhaust after headers... keeps it emissions friendly. Has the upgraded MAS w/injectors, cobra skirts for dressup, hurst shifter, cobra series clutch, posi gt rearend, etc. It's nice and managed 305rwhp with 340rwtq. It is still running a 12:1 afr though so i'll tune it a bit and put the 75mm tb on it as well as a true CAI instead of it's fender well intake. Probably get some highflow cats and mufflers for it as well. Hoping to get it doing 350rwhp on 91 **** gas.
