If anybody wants to join me at the next autocross event, it's on December 15th at Hollywood Park, in the parking lot at the horse track (by the Great Western Forum for all you old school Laker's fans). Let me know if you're interested, or go to www.solo2.com for more info. Also, I have a spare helmet if anyone needs to borrow one. Hope to see you there!

$20 for SCCA or Cal Club members, $35 for non-members. Cal Club membership is $20, so it's worth it for next year if you plan on doing this more than once. In this kind of racing, you run one group and work the course (like pick up cones when they're knocked over) another group.

only things required are your car in safe working order (SUVs and high riding vehicles not allowed), a snell 95 or higher motorcycle or auto helmet, and the desire to have fun and test your driving skills

Only places I know of that they use right now are San Bernadino Airport, California Speedway, Hollywood Park, and Buttonwillow Raceway. San Diego has their own region. And you could always see about getting permits at other places.

I just updated the info, and I'm definitely going. I hope they get my tires in by then. I've been trying to put these things on since the beginning of October

Autocrossing is sooooo mcuh fun. Im handicapped in the fact I have an auto, but its still a great time. The RRM bar makes a world of difference, but better tires would help, Yes you can use stock tires. Just a hint, as soon as you slap on the rear sway bar, your in the STS class, and there are some better cars in that class, including pesky Civic SI's and 2.5 RS's. Just remember, dont think youll win first time out. Learn, then a few events down the road try to compete hard core. ALso ask questions to the seasoned veterans, they know their stuff. WAtch out for cones....lol
