How Much HP would an Evo have with the "stage two" package from Works

With all the stage II upgrades from works...does an Evo put out 340 hp? Also, right now i have the works DP, AB, P2...what should i upgrade next? cams? Throttle body? What is the easiest/ best way to get up to 400 hp and still have a nice daily driver?

The full TR340 package from works puts out about 340hp at the flywheel. That's the package I'm running and it's been dyno'd to around 290whp. It's very drivable and it's my primary daily driver.

First, I'd recommend you go with the Cams, Aperature, and IP, which will bump you up to about my power levels. After that, Water Injection and higher boost pressure would be a possiblity, as well as a beefed up turbo (all solutions WORKS would probably recommend). That'd put you above 400 hp.

Similar question here - also want to reach the 400hp mark on 93 octane w/o using a piggy-back or standalone. I'm thinking I am in the 320-345hp range right now at the crank (dynoed after only P2 and got nearly 40hp increase).

My mods are in my sig below. Thinking seriously about cams in February once the weather clears up here in the midwest.

Yes, the TR340 Performance Package puts out at least 340 flywheel horsepower.

The WORKS Aperture along with an Exhale IP and High Flow Cat would be a good path to follow for your next purchase. At that point, you'll be moving air in and out pretty effectively. I would then recommend the 269 Power Cams (along with the free upgrade Brain Flash).

Typically, the higher level of performance usually comes with a loss to streetability. However, WORKS has engineered its products to give you the power and handling you're after while still maintaining day-to-day driveability and reliability. If you're looking for maximum performance, even though it may potentially result in some loss in streetability, the WRP line is for you: http://www.worksevo.com/store/index.php?cPath=37

I currently run the Helix on my car. However I will be switching to the WORKS high flow cat when it is released. I have pre-ordered the WORKS High-Flow cat which should be out soon. You can order it here: http://www.worksevo.com/store/index.php?cPath=21 I do not think WORKS would release a High-flow cat that could not pass a CA smog test.

Our HFC has been throughly tested and WORKS is quite pleased about the increased performance while still maintaing emissions compliance.

Can someone please clarify.....does the TR-340 PP retain the OEM cat (and, if so, why would you run a full 3" TBE with the stock cat ?) or does it come with the 3" HFC? It's not all that obvious from reading the description on Works' website.

I think it still uses stock cat, but it should be recommended to upgrade to a 3" HFC or 3" test pipe.

I believe that the TR 340 pp does not include a high flow cat. Their website lists pretty clearly what exhaust parts come with the package and the HFC is not listed.

The original TR340 package got its name from the HP made; those numbers were obtained before Works even had a HFC. The main restrictions in our exhaust systems are the DP and the muffler, significant gains are made by replacing those pieces even while retaining the stock cat.

Thanks.

I've read many of the threads on DPs, TBEs and catbacks and the one thing that virtually "all" the top tuners agree on is that running a 3" DP into the standard cat is a no-no. It appears best to go from either small to big (e.g. 2.5" DP, stock cat, 3" catback) or big all the way i.e. 3" TBE with 3" cat. I'm just surprised that this is the way Works do things on the TR-340. Do you know if they offer optimized TR-340 reflashes for either a 2.5" DP & stock cat or a 3" TBE with high-flow cat ?

Works can tune and reflash for any exhaust configuration that you choose. I have the TR.340 with 3" TBE with HFC.

Evo will,

Have you had any CEL problems with the HFC?

How many miles have you been running it?

Is it significantly louder than stock?

Sorry for all the questions............

WORKS doesn't package the HFC with the TR-340, but it does make sense to use one as to help smooth the pathway of the exhaust. For legality purposes, some choose to retain the stock cat and that is fine as it mates with the rest of our Exhale exhaust components. My HFC is going strong with about 9000 miles on it, but I think Will has a few more miles I didn't notice any change in sound when it was installed.
