430 bucks?! You must be insane.

 

I assume that $430 is for a package deal of somekind. There is no way just the O2 housing is $430. It comes with the 10.5 hotside or with a downpipe, or what?

 

It's just for the O2 housing.

Don’t forget that this unit is a casting, not an inferior welded tubular design.

Castings take more time to develop, require precise and expensive molds, and require special facilities and production equipment. After casting they have to be CNC machined of all extrusions, to ensure best possible flow. Cast parts are much more complicated and expensive to produce.

The cheaper welded tubular O2 housings are inexpensive and simple to produce. However there are key advantages to a cast O2 housing, and specific features that you will only find in the soon to be released WORKS Cast O2 housing.

Example:
Stock durability. We have seen non cast units crack and fail over time
You can keep all factory heat shields and heat shield mounting locations
You can retain factory mounting locations and factory support brace
Stock appearance and fitment
3” outlet fits perfectly with our downpipe.

This is one of the only TRUE 3” exhaust solutions on the market. Most other O2 housing maintain the factory’s tiny gasket, limiting the overall diameter of the outlet.

 

I agree with every point that you made. Plus, it is easy to polish and to have it ceramic coated. However, the price listed above is a joke. You will definately sell a few. Why not price them so you can sell hundreds of them instead? $299 shipped would be much more appropriate...

 

i agree, you guys do forget that this is a solid chunk of metal, not some welded peices thrown together. . .I'm going to get this+DP when it's sold as a discount (*cough, hint, cogh*) package . . . . along with the ABM. . .yes! Hmm Tyler, yet another discount idea, O2 Housing+DP+ABM. . . .there's a nice package, for let's say $999??

Yes this much is true, WORKS rocks when it comes to retro-matching a package option, I bought the Air Filter earlier (beat everyone to it before they sold out), and just got the ABM with their Stage 1 Performance Package discount included since I already had one of the components, thanks Tyler!!

I am ready to buy immediately, the only question is when can you ship both parts to me?

I don't need ceramic coating, just the parts, ASAP as I have a White Rabbit patiently waiting install and I want to do it all at once.

How about a combo price for the O2 housing and downpipe - both coated? Thats what I would like to know since I am seriously considering the swap.

 

All of these combos are possible. Once the product arrives and is ready to ship, we'll announce all applicable specials

 

I will buy the O2 and Downpipe if it comes out next month or so...I don't think I can wait any longer however.
