Hi,

From your website, you mentioned that your 70mm downpipe will produce more power than your 76mm downpipe for stock turbo and O2 housing. May I know whether you guys will be producing a 70mm O2 housing for stock turbo ?

Thank you.

From what I understand the 70mm downpipe creates more power if you intend to stay with the stock o2 housing. However, if you intend to upgrade to the WORKS larger O2 housing when it is released (hopefully soon ) then the 76mm downpip is the way to go. I purchased the 76mm downpipe in anticipation of the WORKS O2 housing.

The 70mm piping WORKS well with the stock turbo/O2 housing, but once one or both of those components are altered, the increased volume of the 76mm piping comes into play. As of now, WORKS doesn't intend to release a 70mm version of the O2 housing. Once we get the 76mm version released, we may look into doing an alternative size.

I'm pretty sure they have the O2 housing on the shop car. Works likes to test their parts in the real world driving and make sure it won't just fall apart or have other issues in the future. Of course, this means it's going to take awhile since they have to put some milage on the product.
But, when you buy a product from Works, you'll be assured that it fits and works without issues.
Maybe Works needs to get some more Beta testers from local area Evo owners to test their products so it can be out in the market faster.

...maybe Works needs some Beta testers down here in Texas... in the winter freezing on one day, 80's the next, then freezing again... well over 100 degrees in the spring/summer/fall.

Jaime, you originally confirmed the rumor about the Works 3" O2 housing on Oct 19th. Any updates on the scheduled release date?

Thanks

The O2 housing is pretty much done but I think they are having hard time getting the O2 housing made (bulk of them) in a timely manner by their sources.
Stay tuned!! It's going to be a 3in outlet and will need a different donut gasket since stock one won't fit for us with 3in DP.

The donut gasket included with the WORKS 76mm downpipe is designed to work with the 3in housing. All you will have to do is remove the slide on adapter included in our 76mm downpipe kits. Bolts right up and fits like stock!

Some other downpipes may work, but we haven't done extensive testing at this point.
