WORKS Engineering News

We have finally analyzed the data for the MR Bilstein springs. Unfortunately our Ride Springs will not work with these Bilsteins and other U.S. EVO 8 springs designed for the regular KYB's probably should not be used as well. *Especially those springs which change the rake (lower the front of the EVO more than the rear).

If we decide to produce WORKS Ride springs for the MR (depending on interest due to limited MR production) we will maintain the rake again, determine an optimum front and rear rate, and slightly lower the EVOs stance in order to enhance the EVOs amazing handling characteristics

If anyone is interested in having us manufacture WORKS Ride Springs for the Bilsteins, let us know either here on the forum or give us a call. If we get enough interest, we will design a few prototypes and proceed with a production run according to the QC and testing results.

So are stock EVO springs the same as stock MR springs? Are the spring perches of the MR Bilsteins located higher than the KYB's? Good info!

EM,
Give us some test data that you found on the MR Springs. Tell us why you said what you said. You guys have got to start providing data points to customers if you want to continue selling stuff. I love my WORKS products so far, but when it comes to suspension I've yet to buy any because of lack of information.
It sounds like WORKS has a good engineering team so information like static CG heights, roll centers, wheel rates...etc should be easily and readily available. No other vendor is providing their findings, maybe you guys should start. Step up.

Hey, EM, Pete, etc.

Per our conversation at WORKS last Sat, I'll be willing to do a beta test if you can cut me a deal! I'm highly motivated to try out your MR springs.

I would be interested in springs designed for the MR Bilsteins. Though I am also running them on an '03 GSR so I imagine I am not the primary market!

I am interested and I have an '05 MR. I know that a lot of MR owners are interested. I have read through a number of other threads in which the MR owners expressed an interest particularly in Works springs and were encouraged to forward their interest to you. I seriously doubt that they are aware of this thread.

Keep us updated.

I would also be interested in a set of lowering springs (less than 2") for the MR.

Bump! Any news on this? Also, would these springs fit on a Evo IX?

Yeah what is the latest update on Works coming out with some springs that are properly spec'd for the MR? I would really be interested in someone coming up with a solution that retains the drivability of the stock springs. People are starting to use Tien Type H and I think that I heard of someone using another brand recently. I believe that the window on this opportunity may not be open much longer.

WORKS has a local customer with our prototype springs on his MR now. Based on his feedback and results, we should have something available for you guys in the near future.

Out of curiosity, any updates on this? I'm interested in some springs for my MR Bilsteins as well. Thanks!
