Talking Dyno #s...

Decided to dyno my 03 Evo today. The dyno used was a 4WD Mustang dyno.

Performance Mods:
Works P2 (91 octane) 19Psi ("76 Pump" 92 octane)
Works DP
Works HFC
Works Throttle Body
Tanabe Ultra Medallion Ti Cat back
ARC FMIC (Car not tuned for I/C yet...)
Perrin Boost Tube
Grey Works Sticker on the hood

HP: 281.4 @ 6750 RPM
TQ: 239.5 @ 4750

Not bad for a Evo with 68k miles...

BTW, thanks Works

68,000 miles! HOLY ****. Congratulations, thats great! We bought these cars for one reason: TO DRIVE! How do you like the boost tube? Hood sticker must get you over the 270 mark huh?

Wow, that is pretty good, especially considering that you are not running a turboback and cams. I'd like to think that the grey sticker made the biggest difference in your numbers.

Why is the torque so low compared to the HP? That's weird.

(dp comment removed, by bad)

He has a downpipe - "Works DP"

Your numbers look better than mine on a mustang dyno, and I've got the Works 269 cams.

The car does have a TBE. Works DP = Works Downpipe.

BTW, the car had a low pull of HP: 271 or so and that was when the BIG fan was on and hood shut. I would have thought the RAM air would have helped...

Pete has massaged the car on several occasions in the past and I am hoping for better numbers soon with the I/C taken into consideration.
The tech running the dyno made a few comments about how consistent the A/F looked and the overall smoothness of the pulls. They specialize in BMW/Porsche tuning so that was good to hear...

I personally can't speak to the low in TQ figures at the time, I plan to get on the phone with Works on Monday or so to see if there are any thoughts.

Wow, that HP # seems really high for a mustang dyno for your mods and 91 octane. Are you using a test pipe or high flow cat? Your car a freak or somethin'?? Regardless, nice #s!

Will - looking good! Are you happy with the P2 flash? I'm thinking about replacing my Dynoflash with it. Did Tim also give you a print out of your boost curve (MAP)? I'd really like to see it if you don't mind - thanks!

Ralph, I am very happy with my P2 as you and others on the team are aware. There are a couple of us that are planning a trip to visit Works in the next month or so.

Tim did provide me printed boost curve charts. Give me a holler offline and I will get you the charts.
