New Forge RS

I heard Works was testing the new Forge diverter valve. What do you guys think? I'm considering getting one if it doesn't leak and is truely 100% OEM drivability.

I did some of the testing on my own EVO with the valve and was pleased with the overall design/functionality of the unit. The adjustment knob is more user-friendly than the previous shim/spring setup of the older design. It does add a little to the bulk of the unit, but a small price to pay. Driveability in both recirculating and VTA setups was excellent once adjusted properly. (I found that adjusting the valve to crack open at -13mmHg worked well vs. the stock -16mmHg.) The sound quality of the recirculating configuration was excellent--probably the best I've encountered. The VTA sound is a little hollow under little or no boost due to the dual spring design--again a small price to pay for the performance/streetability the unit provides. Forge did their homework on this one and I gave them an "A" for their end result.

Well, mainly that you can adjust with a knob the point at which the DV starts to open. Before you had to mess with opening the valve, changing the spring and/or inserting shim(s) and you still might not have it perfect. With this setup it's just a small twist one way or another.

Thanks for the response. How much would it be and how long would it take to order?
