P1 and Fuel Economy

I asked this question in the general forum but maybe I should have just asked Works directly. How much fuel economy is lost or gained with a P1/P2/P2E re-flash? I was very interested in the P2E but with gas prices so high this is a question that has to be asked? (Hopefully P2-E is for Economy + Horsepower flash) JK!

My car showed about a 4mpg improvement with a mix of highway/city driving after the P2 flash.

Unfortunately my Dealer will not accept the Works or any flash and honor my Warrenty. I would need to have it done secretly.

Thanks for the Reply! This will make my Wife give me my money for the P2-E!

I've had my P2 flash for since it came out back in November of 03 and since then have been to the dealership many times to have warranty work done. They have no clue.

Also, the improved gas milage is not just from leaning things out, its also from the increased power down low. It takes less throttle to get up to speed.

Personally, I saw a 2MPG average gain (mixed freeway/city driving) when I had my WORKS Brain Flash done. However, I've also noticed my mileage sometimes goes down in conjunction with my right foot Something about the enjoyment of the unleashed power.

I also saw a 1-2mpg improvement w/ my P2. But lately, my lead foot has been killing my gas mileage.. hehe..

I've got the P2 with the Works intermediate pipe and the axle-back. I'll be getting their air filter soon and I'll let you know if that makes any difference with the mileage.
