anybody running this Works package???

I have a 2005 EVOMR. I was talking to Oliver at works and man he sounds like a straight up guy. I am about to ship my car there for the TR340 package with springs and retainers and the white rabbit turbo.

Anybody in So Cal have this kit. Or anybody period in California that can tell me how their car runs as compared to stock???

Thanks, Todd

i'm up in the AV and have a 2003 with the 340 package + hi-flow cat + springs&retainers. the car is very different to stock! the P2 flash and exhaust makes the top end much better than stock, and then the cams add power and torque everywhere. pulls hard from 3000 and up, great fun out of a corner in the canyons or on the track. easier to drive on the street to due to more low end grunt.

i highly recommend the hi-flow cat in addition to the 340 package... i put that on just a day or two after i got the cams in and it made a MASSIVE difference, really opened it up in the top end. if you're going to spend the $$ on the 340 and WR, finish it off with the hi-flow cat. haven't got a CEL for the cat yet. also, the 8000rpm redline flash is fun, it pulls all the way there and it's useful on the track for some extra flexibility in gearing through the corners.

the only bad thing is that the suspension can't really keep up anymore, so rims, R-compound's and coil-overs are next on my list, the 340 is enough HP for me.

putting on the WR as well, it will be fast as hell. have fun!

I've got an 03 evo with the TR340, Works 02 housing and WR turbo. Its been so long since I've been stock, its hard to describe the difference between this and stock. For the brief time that my car was holding boost properly, the WR kicked ***. Really hauled. Seems to reach full spool 500 rpm faster than stock, and it was like someone increased the power everywhere in the powerband. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble maintaining peak boost, still have to get the car back to Works for some tuning.

I think this setup is great for someone who wants to maintain a stockish turbo. Driveability is better than stock (earlier boost), and power is amazing!!

Keep in mind that Works is pretty conservative. You'll be leaving some power on the table vs some other tunes, but I'm happier with a little extra margin of safety.

I respect your honesty, however, margin of safety is not necessarily compromised with a more aggressive tune.
