340 for the MR in first qtr. 2006

We are currently developing the new WORKS power cams for the Mivec and should be available in the first qtr. of 2006.
Unlike others, the WORKS cams will be the finest quality on the planet... no hks, no buddy club, not even jun, etc.....we are currently working w/ a f-1 tuning company that produces engines that can rev up to 19000 rpms and the cams will be outstanding.

In the past, WORKS built our reputation for reliable tuning & quality and others assumed that meant we couldn't compete.( Time Attack dispelled that notion)
In 2006, our motto will be "no more mr. nice guy".
We will have BAR NONE- the best suspension components, engine internals and products for your Evo.
WORKS-Ohlins
WORKS- Cosworth
WORKS-Cyber Evo.
WORKS-Team Dynamics
All in line w/ factory ECU tuning and engineered products.

You can choose lawyers, mechanics or jokers that can't spell software or you can choose what is preferred by the designers at MMNA in Cypress, Cosworth,& Cyber Evo. WORKS engineers.....not blowing up Evo's, since 2003...

happy holidays see ya next year, Kirk

ps. As an old German car guy, when you are ready to chase the M5, let's do it.

Hi Evil Evo,

I noticed you're a strong advocate of WORKS, and I can understand why. Their quality is top notch. I'm just curious why you chose the Invidia tbe components instead of WORKS?

I actually had my TBE before deciding to go to WORKS. I wanted that stuff done before a flash. If I had to do it all over again, everything on my car would be from WORKS, but IMO no need in buying another exhaust when I already have one, although I might get a WORKS DP since the Invidia doesnt clear the lower braces.

As for the post...right on Kirk Its about time WORKS shows off some of their potential. I think WORKS is very underestimated, so the no more Mr. Niceguy attitude will be a nice change.

Has anyone with specifically a Works TR-340 run the 1/4 mile yet so us interested parties know what a TR-340 car is capable of 0-60 and in the 1/4 for both the 2003 and 2005?

Someone out there has to have run their TR-340 car in the 1/4 mile.

The dyno are pretty subjective it seems so really the true measurement is the 1/4 mile for me.

Well I would have if my tranny wasnt messed up a few months ago. Only measuring stick I have is who I race. I have raced several guys that are at the track all the time and are pretty consistent with their times. I have raced a guy that was running 12.8 in his Mustang and I beat him 1/4 mile pretty bad (3-4 cars) and he was on et street tires so he launched pretty good. I have beat our Z06 1/4 mile by a couple cars, I beat my buddys Mach 1 on drag radials, my buddys STi that runs 12's etc...If I had to guess, which I know your not looking for but I would say my car is probably capable or running low 12's judging by the cars that I beat. Once WORKS comes out with the water injection and I can raise the boost I can easily see high 11's

Anyways sorry I dont have a timeslip, but when the weather gets better and tracks open I'll try to get one.

Do you have the FULL TR-340 package? It looks like you have a different downpipe and catback exhaust. Please explain...

I dont have all the WORKS 340 package persay, I mean I have all the components needed but just different brand. I had my exhaust before going to WORKS or else I would have the full WORKS TBE. I dont see the exhaust making that much of a difference, since its the same diameter, know what I mean?

The WORKS package also includes the throttle body which I dont have, but I have a test pipe which it doesnt include and a lightweight flywheel, which I know I can feel So its not a "true" 340 package, but very close, only thing is no throttlebody (which im sure the test pipe and flywheel make up for) and different brand exhaust.

My car is at WORKS right now, I might have them throw in a WORKS DP since my Invidia rattles on the braces a bit, im too lazy to get spacers
