TR-340 on an '06 MR?

Dear Works,
A friend of mine just bought an '06 GG MR and wants to be able to beat his brother's M5 on the highway, but doesn't want to kill his warranty or driveability.

After my limited, but very positive experience with you guys, and reading the continued praise for you on this forum, I want to reccommend him to take the Works path. As such, I have a few questions.

Will the cams in your TR-340 package still work on an '06 MR with MIVEC?

If so, he'd likely opt for the TR-340, and add the Exhale O2 housing, HF cat, 700cc injectors, Walbro fuel pump and your Valve spring/retainer package. Got any idea what kind of power we could expect from a setup like that on 93-octane pump gas? Got any dyno charts from any similar cars?

Since you guys are in Cali, we'll be doing the install ourselves. I put my HKS cams in myself without any issues, and that seems to be the hardest part of this whole thing. The O2 housing might be tough, but I'm doing mine next week, so I'll have one under my belt before I do his.

Can you think of any other problems I might run into? Or do you have any suggestions for other ways to improve power without hurting driveability or having dealer warranty issues?

i'm not works, but i'm 99.9999% sure the cams won't work with the new MIVEC engine...

I would have to agree with ovenmit. Cams for the IX are still in development.

But can't you just change the exhaust cam?

Yes, just the exhaust cam. the intake cam is the MIVEC cam.

Well hopefully they'll get one here and answer some questions for you, but your leading your buddy in the right direction, believe me.

I am just saying that he will not beat a M5 on the highway with the 340 package. Especially not the new one.

Their race car is pretty fast. I was told by Tyler when they were building the car that they were expecting about 400-500hp..maybe even more.

I think Works is okay and I was a satisfied customer back in the day when the P2 flash first came out. Quality and customer service is their trademark and I will give them that.

When I totaled my Vishnu stage 3 it had 494 whp on a 30R. Fast is a relative term.
