Short-Shift Installs
Greetings,
We have been talking about setting up regional installations around the country for some time. The main issue is manpower, since we are in the midst of a very busy and successful racing season. We are also setting up regional authorized WORKS dealers, but it will be some time before we can accommodate everyone around the country.
Maybe we can get some lists going and see what develops. When we were in the Northwest for 6-speed short-shift installs, we could install about 1 per hour, so 6 to 8 customers per day would be possible.
We will also have some news concerning the MOD meet in Cypress, CA and Normal, IL in terms of installations. If we could get 12 to 16 people together in a region, I think it would make sense for a quick trip. We could use this forum to start the regional lists.
Thanks for all your interest and we wish that we could just send these out, but we have learned the hard way in the past that is not always the best course of action.
Sincerely,
Oliver Simons

Thats really nice of you(works), willing to take a trip cross country to install short shifters. I would take advantage however Im having a mock up done on mine for the same thing. Have you guys looked into making the stock lever shorter? Works

Greetings,
Our decision to not send these out has nothing to do with installation issues. In fact, the installation is quite basic, although a bit time consuming. Again, until there are other kits out there for the 6-speed, we can not send these out. Trust us, it isn’t really what we want to do, but we have very little choice.
Sincerely,
Oliver Simons
