Sound Clip for ABM?

I'm still deciding on which ABM to choose, I want the Works ABM, but dunno what it really sound like. Is it possible for you guys do a sound clip of the ABM? Reading thru the threads, a person may say it's almost like stock (loudness), but another may say it's too load. It's hard to judge a product from what people are saying, but if you could do a sound clip would be awesome. I really want something that is not too much louder than stock. I know I can do the stealth work, but I like the way the works ABM look.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure they don't have the ABM on there, just the AB (muffler delete).

jansolo,

how about a sound clip of the AB without the muffler; not sure what Works calls it

Was thinking about the 70mm DP, HFC, and the AB without muffler - good weight savings and greatly reduced back pressure

They simply call it AB Exhaust

I had that exact setup. LOUD! after attracting too much attention from my neighbors and the police, I went with their AB muffler. Very happy. Its still loud enough to set off car alarms, but is a definite improvement!

I am sure someone at WORKS can whip up a video of what their ABM sounds like. They just need to stop working for a few mins to get it done.

Meanmud it all depends on you driving style. If you liv ein the city and "get on it" on a reg basis, this prob will get you in trouble. I had it on my black evo for over a year that my wife drove daily with no probs. It sounds killer. I give it a thumbs up!

I have basically the same setup as mmoranda (with a 76mm downpipe) and it will be LOUD if you drop the hammer but at light throttle it's not bad. Worst part (especially in the RS) is that it will create standing wave patterns in the trunk and resonate at certain narrow rpm frequency bands. I had the setup for 1.5 yrs on my '03 on now it's on the RS.

Here are some videos of my '03 with that setup:
idling and pulling away
passing

So that was the 70mm DP, resonated test pipe, Intermediate pipe, and AB exhaust (no muffler)?

I 2nd that, the setup 70mm DP, HFC, 70mm non-resonated IP, AB is way too loud, at least for my taste.

For street, I've tried all the WORKS setups.
The two areas that reduce sound the most are the muffler followed by the catalyst.

If you are planning to run a HFC or a resonated test pipe you will need the ABM.
I currently run the complete WORKS (3 inch) 76mm system w/ the WORKS HFC and ABM.
If we have time this week, we will try to make a clip available....no promises...

On the other hand,if you plan to keep the stock cat, the AB(muffler delete) will be fine. I ran this until I decided to upgrade to the HFC.
