Boost question.

I just got a WORKS P2 mail in flash for my EVO IX with the following mod's TBE,Intake,255 Walbro and downpipe. The max boost i get at WOT in third gear on the stock boost gauge is 1.0,could it be the stock BOV not holding boost.Any suggestion's from someone at WORKS would be helpful.

Boost Leak...?

Have you checked for boost leaks?

Double check to make sure the boost lines are properly attached back to the solenoid and off the wastegate/turbo and if you removed any of the intercooler couplers make sure those are back on properly and secured tight.

To me it sounds like it's something with the boost lines.

One thing that did happen when i changed the boost line i broke one of the plastic stem's on the BCS that the new hose connect's to and had to epoxy it back together.Everything else is tight.

Get rid of the broken solenoid and replace it then. I am surprised you broke one of those stems...they are pretty strong. Find out what a new solenoid will cost and replace it.

I am pretty sure once you replace it that will resolve the boost issue. If not, disconnect the negative terminal for 5-10 minutes to clear the ECU and reconnect and go drive a few miles to see if it gets beyond 1bar of boost.

Its the solenoid. I would bet money that when you epoxy'd it, it closed the hole and its not getting air thru that inlet. Your running wastegate boost right now, thats it.

I'd agree with that... Airflow is critical through that line and its connection points and even minute alterations can vary the results significantly.
