Upgraded Turbo to match the TR-340

Getting a poll, what would be the best after market turbo to match (compliment) the Performance Package TR-340 for the Evo 9? taking in consideration that it is my daily driver and there will be track days as well as strip days (well really street days)?

So many variables! What are your power goals and how much does lag bother you?

I realize that the larger the turbo the more lag you will encounter. looking for near stock low to midrange RPM spool up and then MONSTER like in the top end, maybe around 400 (whp) if its possible? this is still gonna be my daily beater so drive ability will be very important. Other than the cams (with the TR-340) I'd rather not upgrade any of the internals ie crank, pistons. I know the fuel pump, injectors, head studs have to be replaced thats expected.

Is this possible? oh I also have no desire to use WI.

FP green or 50 trim will fit the bill

FP Green + Meth (just my preference)

Unless you want to turn up the boost (meaning using race gas or methanol), I don't think it's as worth it for a bigger turbo. I would really reconsider the decision for not using WI; upgraded turbos have more boost in them that you won't be using. Meth is nice for a daily driver, since you don't have to deal with race gas and mixing. Meth is used as needed. Octane on demand.

50 trim would a fine choice too. The FP Green hits a little sooner; the 50 trim has a little more up top.

However, without the WI like you stated and if you don't want race gas all the time:

FP Green hands down. If you won't be using the boost that the bigger turbos offer, then why spend the money on a 50 trim or whatever? The FP Green is cheaper, looks stock, uses stock exhaust manifold, has really good response and performance at the boost levels you will be at. To get more turbo than that for stock boost levels is a waste. Plus you can still grow into the FP Green if you want more with a race gas tune for the track.
